It acknowledges that AI shapes the entire security environment, focusing on its use by both attackers and defenders. Employing a mixed-methods approach—including a literature review, survey, and semi-structured interviews with experts from the public and private sectors, internet solution providers (ISP), and defence—the research highlights a clear asymmetry in capabilities, with threat actors showing greater agility in adopting AI-powered tools. It also assesses the effectiveness, risks, and limitations of AI-supported defence. Findings show that while AI enhances detection and automation, it introduces ethical, legal, and technical vulnerabilities. The thesis concludes with concrete recommendations to boost resilience against AI-enabled threats.</dc:description><dc:publisher>M.
