Opis:Teoretična izhodišča: Vloga medicinske sestre pri obravnavi mladostnikov s samopoškodbenim vedenjem je ključnega pomena za uspešno prepoznavanje, razumevanje in obvladovanje tega vedenja. Samopoškodbeno vedenje je pogosto način, s katerim mladostniki izražajo notranje stiske, kot so čustvena bolečina, stres, depresija ali težave z identiteto. Mladostniki, ki se ukvarjajo s samopoškodbenim vedenjem, pogosto niso sposobni obvladati svojih čustev ali se soočiti s svojimi težavami na druge načine. Vloga medicinske sestre se torej ne nanaša le na neposredno obravnavo mladostnikov, temveč vključuje tudi prepoznavanje širših dejavnikov, ki vplivajo na mlade in njihova dejanja. Namen raziskave je raziskati vlogo medicinske sestre pri obravnavi mladostnika s samopoškodbenim vedenjem. Cilji raziskave so ugotoviti vlogo medicinske sestre pri obravnavi mladostnika s samopoškodbenim vedenjem, predstaviti terapevtske pristope, ki so pri obravnavi mladostnikov najučinkovitejši, raziskati in preučiti najpogostejše dejavnike tveganj za samopoškodbeno vedenje pri mladostnikih in raziskati znake (poškodb) na katere mora biti medicinska sestra pozorna pri prepoznavanju samopoškodbenega vedenja pri mladostnikih. Metode: V raziskavi sta bila uporabljena kvalitativni raziskovalni pristop in deskriptivna metoda dela. Za zbiranje podatkov je bila uporabljena predloga za polstrukturiran intervju. Raziskava je potekala od februarja do marca 2025. Vzorec je bil namenski in vključuje šest diplomiranih medicinskih sester, ki sodelujejo pri obravnavi mladostnika s samopoškodbenim vedenjem. Pri zbiranju in obdelavi podatkov smo upoštevali vsa etična načela raziskovanja. V deskriptivnem delu smo pridobili strokovno in znanstveno literaturo v domačem slovenskem in tujem angleškem jeziku. Rezultati: Raziskava je pokazala, da medicinske sestre pri obravnavi mladostnika s samopoškodbenim vedenjem najpogostejše oblike opisujejo kot telesne poškodbe, predoziranje s prepovedanimi substancami in čustvene spremembe. Vloga medicinskih sester pri mladostnikih, ki se samopoškodujejo, je predvsem poudarjena na pridobivanju zaupanja in ustrezni ne obsojajoči komunikaciji ter strokovni podpori. Zdravstveni delavci imajo pri takih mladostnikih izjemno pomembno vlogo, saj so največkrat prvi, ki navežejo stik z njimi in jim nudijo občutek varnosti in sprejetosti ter možnosti, da se nam odprejo in povejo svoje notranje stiske. Razprava: Vloga medicinskih sester pri obravnavi mladostnika s samopoškodbenim vedenjem je zelo pomembna. Pri obravnavi mladostnika s samopoškodbenim vedenjem je ključnega pomena ustrezen terapevtski pristop, ki omogoča hitro in strokovno pomoč. Poudarek je na empatiji in terapevtskem pogovoru. Prav tako imajo pomembno vlogo, saj so največkrat prve, ki prepoznajo znake in s hitrim ukrepanjem zagotovijo strokovno obravnavo. Najpogostejši dejavniki tveganj za nastanek samopoškodbenega vedenja so travmatske izkušnje iz otroštva, nizka samopodoba, prisotnost duševnih motenj ter socialni družinski dejavniki, kot so lahko zlorabe ali ločitev staršev. Medicinske sestre morajo biti še posebej pozorne na več znakov samopoškodbenega vedenja, kot so fizični znaki, vedenjski in čustveni. Najpogostejši so rezanje kože in udarjanje samega sebe, zažiganje delov kože in spremembe v vedenju. Vloga medicinske sestre pri takih mladostnikih je ključnega pomena, saj je vključevanje strokovnega multidisciplinarnega tima in svojcev v samo zdravljenje ključ za uspeh.

Opis:Introduction: The nurse's role in dealing with adolescents with self-injurious behavior is critical to successfully identifying, understanding, and managing this behavior. Self-injurious behavior is often a way for adolescents to express internal distress, such as emotional pain, stress, depression, or identity issues. Adolescents who engage in self-injurious behavior are often unable to control their emotions or deal with their problems in other ways. The role of the nurse is therefore not only related to the direct treatment of young people, but also includes the recognition of wider factors that influence young people and their actions. The purpose of the research is to investigate the role of the nurse in the treatment of an adolescent with self-injurious behavior. The goals of the research are to determine the role of the nurse in the treatment of adolescents with self-injurious behavior, to present the therapeutic approaches that are most effective in the treatment of adolescents, to investigate and examine the most common risk factors for self-injurious behavior in adolescents, and to investigate the signs (of injuries) that a nurse should pay attention to when identifying self-injurious behavior in adolescents. Methods: The research used a qualitative research approach and a descriptive method of work. A semi-structured interview template was used to collect data. The research took place from February to March 2025. The sample was purposive and included six registered nurses involved in the treatment of a child with self-injurious behaviour. When collecting and processing data, we took into account all the ethical principles of research. Results: The study showed that nurses describe physical injuries, substance overdoses, and emotional changes as the most common forms of self-harm in adolescents practicing self-injurious behavior. The role of nurses in adolescents who self-harm is primarily to gain trust and provide appropriate nonjudgmental communication and professional support. Health professionals play an extremely important role in such adolescents, as they are often the first to make contact with them and offer them a sense of safety and acceptance, as well as the opportunity to open up and share their inner struggles. Discussion: The role of nurses in the treatment of adolescents with self-harming behavior is very important. When treating adolescents with self-harming behavior, an appropriate therapeutic approach that enables quick and professional help is crucial. The emphasis is on empathy and therapeutic conversation. Nurses also play an important role in often being first to recognize the signs and taking quick action to ensure professional treatment. The most common risk factors for the development of self-harming behavior are traumatic childhood experiences, low self-esteem, the presence of mental disorders, and social and family factors, such as abuse or parental separation. Nurses must be especially attentive to several signs of self-harming behavior, such as physical, behavioral, and emotional signs. The most common are cutting the skin and hitting oneself, burning parts of the skin, and changes in behavior. The role of nurses in such adolescents is crucial, as the involvement of a professional multidisciplinary team and relatives in the treatment itself is key to success.
