Opis:Izhodišča: Diplomirane medicinske sestre v predbolnišnični nujni medicinski pomoči imajo ključno vlogo v multidisciplinarnih timih za oživljanje. Uspeh intervencije je neposredno odvisen od hitrega začetka postopkov, usklajenega timskega dela in jasne porazdelitve nalog. Čeprav sodobne smernice dopuščajo uporabo tehnologije, se oživljanje na terenu še vedno pogosto izvaja ročno. Namen diplomske naloge je bil raziskati stališča diplomiranih medicinskih sester do uporabe naprav za mehansko stiskanje prsnega koša in preučiti prednosti, izzive in omejitve, s katerimi se srečujejo pri njihovi integraciji v klinično prakso.

Naslov:THE ROLE OF THE REGISTERED NURSE IN THE USE OF MECHANICAL RESUSCITATION DEVICES
Opis:Introduction: Registered nurses participate in resuscitation as part of a multidisciplinary team that may vary in composition, purpose, and tasks. It is important that resuscitation procedures are initiated quickly and that teamwork is precise and coordinated. The greatest success of resuscitation is ensured if team members know exactly what their tasks are, and if tasks and roles are appropriately distributed. Nurses in prehospital emergency medical care still perform resuscitation mostly manually. Therefore, this article explores the attitudes of registered nurses working in prehospital emergency medical care towards mechanical resuscitation devices and the challenges and limitations of their use. Methods: A survey questionnaire was used to collect data to determine the role of registered nurses in prehospital emergency medical care in the use of mechanical resuscitation devices. The questionnaire contained eight closed-ended questions, one open-ended question and seventeen statements, where the respondent defined them on a 5-point Likert scale. The sample was purposive. Graduate nurses in prehospital emergency medical care were included in the study. The research sample was 100 respondents who fully completed the survey questionnaire. Results: Our study showed that nurses in prehospital emergency medical care recognize the importance of mechanical resuscitation devices, but they find that mechanical resuscitation devices are still not sufficiently integrated as an adjunct to manual resuscitation. The workplaces of most nurses have mechanical resuscitation equipment and nurses have used it. However, the regular use of mechanical resuscitation is still low, which indicates the selectivity of use in specific circumstances (during transport and in longer resuscitations). Nurses assess their competences as moderately good. They recognize the benefits of mechanical resuscitation devices, especially in reducing fatigue of medical teams. They also express some concerns, such as the risk of injury, delays in deployment, and uneven training of team members. Discussion: The results of the study showed that mechanical devices are an important tool for improving the quality of resuscitation in the prehospital setting. However, their optimal use requires regular training, clear protocols, and organizational support. We recommend the introduction of regular simulation exercises, standardization of use procedures, and availability of devices in all emergency medical teams. Future studies could examine the impact of mechanical compression on clinical outcomes of resuscitation. Similarly, the effectiveness of different types of equipment in the prehospital setting could be compared.
