Opis:Mediation as an extra-judicial activity is considered by many specialists to be this century's modern pursue in resolving disputes or conflicts everywhere. People around the world understand the importance of negotiation amongst them for harmony and prosperity in their lives and its crucial role in maintaining co-interest relations. The background of this traditional-based activity has been constructed throughout the centuries of human activities based on the values of every community. From the 21st century, mediation as a collaborative tool for the legal institutions and has been introduced in the legal system of the most developed states. States such as China, Japan, Germany, United States of America and Australia are some of the states which have integrated mediation in their legal framework by which achieving fast resolution of disputes between litigating parties. The transition of the legal systems in the Republic of Kosovo in a course of 20 years made it difficult for the newly formed state of Kosovo to react accordingly. This issue needed a reaction from the state and Kosovo integrated the mediation activity as a potential engine with the goal of impacting the legal institutions positively. The specific situation in Kosovo as an aftermath of the post-war state damaged the environment of Kosovo's society with crime and corruption with that creating disorganized function of its legal mechanisms. Supported by international organizations, the Republic of Kosovo after its independence started the road of development and proper functionality. Mediation is one of the supported mechanisms in order for achieving positive impact.
