V veliko primerih pride do operativnega zdravljenja zdrsa medvretenčne ploščice in perioperativne obravnave pacienta. Namen raziskave je preučiti perioperativno obravnavo pacienta z zdrsom medvretenčne ploščice. Metode: Uporabili smo kvalitativni raziskovalni pristop in deskriptivno metodo dela. Razprava: Intervjuvanci so podali ustrezne odgovore.

Title:PERIOPERATIVE TREATMENT OF A PATIENT WITH A SLIPPED DISC
Abstract:Introduction: The spine consists of many parts that are connected to each other and come together along the entire length, thus providing the body with support. Between all the parts there is an intervertebral disc, which has the function of buffers between the individual bones. The discs are surrounded by a strong connective tissue called cartilage. Slippage of the intervertebral disc can be considered degenerative changes in the spine. When the intervertebral disc slips, only it thins, the space between the vertebrae narrows, and the ligaments become looser. Thus, the spine becomes unstable in this area. In large cases, there is operative treatment of slipped disc and perioperative management of the patient. The purpose of the research is to examine the perioperative treatment of a patient with a slipped disc. Methods: We used a qualitative research approach and a descriptive method of work. Based on a preliminary review of domestic and foreign professional literature and international databases Cobiss, Google Scholar, PubMed and SpringerLink, we prepared questions for a semi-structured interview. In all phases of the research, we took into account the ethical principles of research. All the data were analysed, the answers of the interviewees were classified into tables, and the data into codes. Results: Six people outside of medical institutions participated in the research after an intervertebral disc operation. We found that most of the interviewees have the same problems and experiences, they are mostly familiar with perioperative treatment. Discussion: The interviewees gave appropriate answers. Most gave the same answers or shared similar experiences. All of them had similar signs of slipped disc and were taught by the medical staff about the course and recovery after surgery. For some, the disease and surgery changed their lives for the better, while some still feel back pain.
