Abstract:The master's thesis examines the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the physical activity and motor skills of primary school children and explores the potential of mobile applications as a tool for promoting physical activity in the modern digital environment. The results have revealed a significant decline in strength, endurance, and coordination in children, especially those living in rural areas. Based on the collected data, guidelines were developed for the creation of a mobile application that would effectively promote physical activity and enhance the motor skills of young people. It was found that well-designed mobile applications can effectively motivate children to engage in more physical activity, capture their attention, and encourage long-term engagement in doing exercise. The thesis concludes with recommendations for the further development of applications that would be better tailored to the age groups and needs of children, along with suggestions for future research
