Abstract:Uvod: Motnja avtističnega spektra in sorodne motnje so vse pogostejše diagnoze pri otrocih. Uporabljene so bile metoda kompilacije, komparativna metoda, deskriptivna metoda, metoda analize in metoda sinteze. Izstopajo predvsem izboljšanje telesnih spretnosti, senzorna integracija in vedenje.

Abstract:Introduction: Autism spectrum disorder and related disorders are increasingly common diagnoses in children. Their etiology has not yet been precisely defined, but it has been scientifically proven that several factors can lead to a predisposition to the disorder. Based on the characteristics of the states, activities that promote movement patterns, posture, communication, socialization and psychological state should be developed. A multidisciplinary approach is important in all of this. Aim: The purpose of the thesis is to investigate the impact and role of physiotherapy in children with autism spectrum disorder and related disorders with the help of professional and scientific literature and already conducted research. Methods: We chose a systematic review of the literature to write the thesis. We used the compilation method, the comparative method, the descriptive method, the analysis method, and the synthesis method. The literature used in the thesis was searched on Google Scholar, PubMed, ScienceDirect and PEDro. We mostly used foreign literature written between 2014 and 2024. Results: 17 studies were included in the review, with which we determined the positive effects of hippotherapy, sensory integration therapy and physical exercise, respectively, hydrotherapy on children with MAS and related disorders. In particular, the improvement of physical skills, sensory integration and behavior stands out. Discussion and conclusion: Through writing the thesis, we realized that there is no gold standard in the treatment of MAS and related disorders. Namely, for the treatment of these disorders, there are many different physiotherapeutic techniques and methods that help different patients in diverse ways.
