Podatki so bili zbrani s pomočjo standardiziranega anketnega vprašalnika Perceived Stress Scale (PSS-10) in obdelani v programu SPSS 29.

Abstract:Introduction: Stress among healthcare students is prevalent, as evidenced by numerous studies. Physiotherapy students are no exception, encountering various stressors during their education that can affect their mental and physical health. This study aimed to assess the prevalence of stress and identify the factors influencing the presence of stress among physiotherapy students. Methods: An empirical cross-sectional study was conducted among physiotherapy students at Alma Mater Europaea in May 2024. Non-random purposive sampling was used. Data were collected using the standardized Perceived Stress Scale (PSS-10) questionnaire and processed using SPSS 29. Results: The study included 145 physiotherapy students, consisting of 45 males and 100 females, with an average age of 23 ± 3.2 years. The average perceived stress score was 20.7 ± 6.3 points. Female gender (p < 0.001), regular employment (p = 0.036), and overload due to study obligations (p < 0.001) were factors that showed a statistically significant higher perceived stress score among students. The average exam grades were negatively correlated with the stress scores among physiotherapy students (rs = 0.192, p = 0.021). Conclusion: The findings indicate a moderate level of stress among physiotherapy students at Alma Mater Europaea. It is advisable for students to implement effective stress management strategies during their studies. Additionally, it is important for faculties to recognize the issue of student stress and introduce programs and interventions that will help reduce stress and improve students' quality of life.
