Abstract:POVZETEK Teoretična izhodišča: Arterijska hipertenzija predstavlja pomembno zdravstveno stanje, ki se pogosto kaže brez očitnih simptomov, zato ima naziv tiha ubijalka. Povišan krvni tlak v sodobnem svetu predstavlja resen zdravstveni problem s potencialno hudimi zapleti – bolezni srca, možganska kap in ledvične bolezni. Namen raziskave je raziskati celostno obravnavo pacienta z arterijsko hipertenzijo. Metode: Uporabili smo kvalitativni raziskovalni pristop in deskriptivno metodo dela.

Title:COMPERHENSIVE TREATMENT OA A PATIENT WITH ARTERIAL HYPERTENSION
Abstract:ABSTRACT Theoretical starting points: Arterial hypertension, which is also known as high blood pressure and represents an important health condition that often manifests itself without obvious symptoms - which is why it has the unofficial title of the silent killer High blood pressure in the modern world represents a serious health problem, with potentially serious complications - heart disease, stroke and kidney disease. The scale for measuring blood pressure is read in millimeters of mercury (mmHg), with normative values for systolic (upper) pressure up to 120 mmHg and diastolic (lower) pressure up to 80 mmHg. Methods: We used a qualitative research approach and a descriptive method. For the needs of the empirical work, primary and secondary sources were collected, analyzed and synthesized. The primary data for the analysis was obtained using the interview technique. The source of data was also a review of professional and scientific literature obtained with the help of the COBISS, Cochrane, PubMed, Google Scholar, DKUM, ScienceDirect and CINAHL databases. Results: Different degrees of hypertension are classified according to blood pressure readings, which requires accurate diagnosis and regular monitoring, both at home and by a professional. Risk factors for developing hypertension are divided into non-modifiable, such as age and family history, and modifiable, which include obesity, diet, physical activity and stress. Uncontrolled hypertension without professional treatment can lead to serious complications, which makes it imperative to treat it as a serious illness. Treatment is based on both lifestyle changes and pharmacological approaches, which depends on the severity and condition of the individual. Discussion: Successful management of hypertension at the level of a professional team requires a multidisciplinary approach, with nurses playing a key role in educating the patient, monitoring their health status, and promoting a healthy lifestyle. Their role also includes support in weight loss, use of dietary guidelines, and management of medication side effects if they occur. Through individualized care plans and collaboration with other professionals, nurses can help optimize treatment and improve the quality of life of patients with hypertension.
