Abstract:Teoretično izhodiče: V diplomski nalogi smo raziskovali duševno zdravje mladih. Mladostništvo in prehod v odraslost predstavljata dinamično in razvojno obdobje. Vrsta mejnikov v tem življenjskem obdobju temelji na oblikovanju identitete, odnosov, izobrazbe, finančne neodvisnosti in doseganju avtonomije, kar posledično vpliva na duševno zdravje posameznika. V diplomski nalogi smo predstavili še stres, odvisnost, motnje hranjenja in samomorilne misli.

Abstract:Theoretical background: In my thesis, we explored young people's mental health. Adolescence and transition to adulthood represent a dynamic and developmental period. A series of milestones in this period of life are based on the formation of identity, relationships, education, financial independence and the achievement of autonomy, which in turn have an impact on the mental health of the individual. Methods: The thesis is based on a quantitative research approach, using relevant descriptive and survey methods. To obtain the results, a survey questionnaire was designed and published via the 1ka website. The research sample was obtained using the snowball sampling method. The data obtained, which is experienced for the elaboration of the thesis, was graphically arranged in Microsof Excel 2016 and appropriately interpreted in Microsoft Word 2016. Discussion: The survey was carried out among respondents aged between 18 and 30 years. The survey found that only a small percentage of the adolescents surveyed resort to food, alcohol or other illicit substances in times of difficulty. They only perceive the presence of mental health problems and stigma in their environment. However, they identify that more attention should be paid and given in society to mental health problems. Conclusion: Nowadays, the use of online networks is a major influence on the lives of adolescents and, as a consequence, there is a perceived difference in the meaning of idealism between populations. The adolescent period is supposed to represent a period in which individuals are shaped, build on their values and, at the same time, when they perceive their problems, know who they can turn to for additional help in solving the problems they are experiencing.
