Abstract:Mišičnoskeletne patologije pogosto povzročajo bolečino in zmanjšanje obsega gibljivosti. Ugotovitve podpirajo teorijo o vlogi hialuronske kisline, propriocepcije in fascialnih povezav v telesu. Kljub pozitivnim učinkom ostajajo metodološke pomanjkljivosti in potreba po kakovostnejših RCT študijah z daljšim spremljanjem.

Abstract:Musculoskeletal pathologies often cause pain and a reduction in the range of motion. In the past decade, increasing attention has been devoted in physiotherapy to the fascial system as a significant factor in the development and treatment of these conditions. Fascial Manipulation® according to the Stecco method is based on a threedimensional biomechanical model, in which specific points (CC and CF) are treated with the aim of restoring the gliding of fascial layers and reducing local tension. The purpose of this diploma thesis was to describe the structure of fascia and the role of the fascial system in the body, and, through a literature review, to determine the effects of fascial manipulation on the range of motion and pain in musculoskeletal pathologies. The analysis included 19 studies selected according to predefined criteria. The results showed that most studies confirm the positive effects of fascial manipulation, both in reducing pain and improving the range of motion, often after just a single treatment. The findings support the theory regarding the role of hyaluronic acid, proprioception, and fascial connections within the body. Despite the positive outcomes, methodological limitations remain, highlighting the need for higherquality randomised controlled trials (RCTs) with longer followup periods.
