Title:DIETA IN ZDRAV ŽIVLJENJSKI SLOG

Abstract:POVZETEK Izhodišča: Življenjski slog je način življenja posameznikov, skupin in narodov, ki se oblikuje glede na geografske, ekonomske, politične, kulturne in verske dejavnike. Vključuje vsakodnevne navade in dejavnosti, kot so delo, prehrana, prosti čas in telesna dejavnost, in je ključni dejavnik, povezan s kakovostjo življenja. Debelost in prekomerna telesna teža sta vse pogostejša problema, ki vplivata na zdravje posameznika in celotne populacije. Hujšanje je proces, pri katerem posameznik s pomočjo uravnotežene prehrane, telesne dejavnosti in sprememb življenjskega sloga zmanjšuje svojo telesno težo. Za uspešno in dolgoročno učinkovito hujšanje se pogosto izvajajo posebni programi, imenovani šole hujšanja, ki vključujejo strokovnjake z različnih področij, kot so diplomirane medicinske sestre, dietetiki, nutricionisti, zdravniki, kineziologi in drugi. Zdrava prehrana in telesna dejavnost spadata med ključne varovalne dejavnike zdravja, ki zmanjšujejo umrljivost zaradi omenjenih vzrokov, skupaj s preprečevanjem sedečega življenjskega sloga in priporočenimi vzorci spanja. Namen raziskave je bil raziskati dieto in zdrav življenjski slog. Metode: Raziskava je temeljila na kvalitativnem načinu raziskovanja in deskriptivni metodi dela. Za potrebe empiričnega dela so bili zbrani in analizirani primarni in sekundarni viri. Primarne podatke za analizo smo zbrali s tehniko intervjuvanja. Sekundarne podatke smo pridobili s pomočjo pregleda domače in tuje literature. V raziskavo je bilo vključenih šest intervjuvancev. Rezultati: Intervjuvanci imajo deljena mnenja glede doseganja dobrih rezultatov hujšanja pri upoštevanju različnih diet. Prav tako imajo intervjuvanci deljena mnenja glede dolgoročnega vzdrževanja zdravega načina življenja. Nekaterim je pomembnejše osredotočenje na telovadbo (I2, I3, I5, I6), pri drugih na prehrano (I1, I4). Intervjuvanci pri zdravem prehranjevanju opazijo težave, zaradi katerih se lahko prekine krog novih navad zdravega načina življenja (I1, I2, I3, I5). Intervjuvanci so v večini primerov mnenja, da zaradi vpliva stresa pozabijo na vse znanje, ki so ga pridobili med spoznavanjem zdravega načina življenja in prehranjevanja (I1, I2, I5). Intervjuvanci se zdravo prehranjujejo zaradi želje po izgubi telesne teže (I1, I4, I6), izboljšanja zdravja (I2) in dobrega počutja (I3, I5). Razprava: Ugotovljeno je bilo, da se intervjuvanci diet poslužujejo vsak na drugačen način z drugo vrsto diete. Nekateri se diet ne poslužujejo, upoštevajo pa način prehranjevanja, ki njim ustreza. Intervjuvanci se vračajo k starim vzorcem prehranjevanja zaradi pomanjkanja motivacije, družbenih pritiskov in vsakodnevnih skušnjav. Ugotovili smo, da se intervjuvancem zdi, da so diete in njihovo dolgoročno upoštevanje prezahtevne. Intervjuvanci povedo, da zaradi stresa pozabijo na vse, kar so se naučili o zdravem načinu življenja in prehranjevanju. Raziskava je pokazala, da vsak intervjuvanec ob stresu in nastanku stresnih situacij odreagira drugače. Ugotovili smo, da so dejavniki, ki učinkujejo na upoštevanje diete in zdrav življenjski slog, v večini motivacija in želja po boljšem načinu življenja in zdravju. Raziskava je pokazala, da je izjemnega pomena podpora družine in prijateljev, ki jih intervjuvanci potrebujejo za uspešno in dolgoročno spreminjanje navad.

Title:DIET AND A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE
Abstract:ABSTRACT Baseline: Lifestyle refers to the way of life adopted by individuals, groups, and societies, shaped by geographic, economic, political, cultural, and religious factors. It encompasses daily habits and activities such as work, nutrition, leisure, and physical activity, and is a key determinant of quality of life. Obesity and overweight have become increasingly prevalent issues, affecting both individual and public health. Weight loss is a process by which individuals reduce their body weight through balanced nutrition, physical activity, and lifestyle modifications. For effective and sustainable weight loss, specialized programs known as weight loss schools are often implemented. These programs typically involve professionals from various fields, including registered nurses, dietitians, nutritionists, physicians, kinesiologists, and others. Healthy nutrition and regular physical activity are among the most significant protective factors for health, contributing to reduced mortality associated with lifestyle-related diseases, along with the prevention of sedentary behavior and adherence to recommended sleep patterns. The aim of this study was to explore dietary habits and healthy lifestyle practices. Methods: The research was conducted using a qualitative approach and a descriptive research method. For the empirical part of the study, both primary and secondary sources were collected and analyzed. Primary data were obtained through interviews, while secondary data were gathered by reviewing domestic and international literature. A total of six participants were included in the study. Results: The participants expressed diverse opinions regarding the effectiveness of different diets in achieving successful weight loss outcomes. Similarly, views on maintaining a healthy lifestyle in the long term varied. Some participants placed greater emphasis on physical exercise (I2, I3, I5, I6), while others focused more on nutrition (I1, I4). Several participants reported experiencing challenges with healthy eating habits, which often disrupted the process of establishing new routines associated with a healthier lifestyle (I1, I2, I3, I5). The majority of participants noted that under stress, they tend to forget the knowledge and practices acquired during their engagement with healthy lifestyle changes (I1, I2, I5). The main motivations for healthy eating reported by participants included weight loss (I1, I4, I6), health improvement (I2), and overall well-being (I3, I5). Discussion: The findings indicate that participants adopt various types of diets in different ways, tailored to their individual needs. Some participants do not follow any specific diet but rather adhere to an eating pattern that suits them personally. Regression to previous eating habits was commonly attributed to a lack of motivation, social pressure, and everyday temptations. The results suggest that participants perceive diets and their long-term adherence as overly demanding. Furthermore, stress was identified as a significant factor that leads to the abandonment of healthy lifestyle practices. The study revealed that individuals respond to stress differently, which in turn affects their ability to maintain healthy habits. Motivation and the desire for improved health and quality of life emerged as the most influential factors in maintaining dietary and lifestyle changes. Importantly, the research highlighted the critical role of support from family and friends, which participants considered essential for the successful and sustainable adoption of new habits.
