To omogoča učinkovitejše in celostno okrevanje poškodovanega sklepa.

Abstract:In everyday life, we often encounter various physical injuries, of which ankle sprains are one of the most common. This type of injury has a significant impact on the stability of the joint, impaired control of movement and increases the risk of re-injury, which can lead to chronic ankle instability. The aim of this thesis was to investigate the effect of proprioception exercises on ankle sprain rehabilitation and to determine the extent to which such exercises contribute to improving functionality, balance and reducing pain after injury. The thesis is based on a review of the literature, with a focus on studies that have investigated the effectiveness of different proprioception exercises in individuals with ankle sprains. The studies analysed showed that regular and appropriate proprioception exercises have a significant impact on faster recovery, improved ankle stability and reduced risk of re-injury. In addition, these exercises contribute significantly to improving balance and functional capacity in injured individuals. The findings highlight the importance of including structured and targeted proprioception exercises in the rehabilitation process after ankle sprain. This allows for a more effective and holistic recovery of the injured joint.
