Abstract:Teoretična izhodišča: Revmatološke bolezni so v sodobni populaciji v razmahu in danes predstavljajo eno najpogostejših kroničnih kostno-mišičnih obolenj, ki prizadenejo sklepe, kosti in mehko tkivo in ostale organe. Primarni podatki so bili pridobljeni s tehniko intervjuvanja.

Title:MEDICAL TREATMENT OF A PATIENT WITH A RHEUMATOLOGICAL DISEASE
Abstract:Theoretical background: Rheumatological diseases are on the rise in the modern population and today represent one of the most common chronic musculoskeletal diseases affecting joints, bones, soft tissue and other organs. In order to achieve quality health care and patient life, it is necessary to properly design and implement care systems that will be of a comprehensive nature. The purpose of the study was to investigate the opinions of patients with rheumatological diseases about medical treatment. Methods: A qualitative research approach and a descriptive method of work were used in the research. We used a semi-structured interview template as an instrument for data collection. Primary data were obtained using the interviewing technique. The sample was purposeful and included patients being treated in a rheumatology clinic. We included six people in the interview. The survey was conducted in April and May 2025. Results: The interviewees believe that the role of a nurse in a rheumatology clinic is important, broad, indispensable. It performs administrative tasks, measurements (body weight, height, VF), bandages, blood collection. Interviewees say the nurse is supportive, advising and motivating them to make lifestyle changes. The interviewees believe that the medical treatment in the rheumatology clinic is of high quality. They express satisfaction, especially in the area of professionalism of knowledge and attitude. None of the interviewees had suggestions for improvement or listed the challenges they faced. Discussion: We found that patients consider the role of a nurse in a rheumatology clinic to be extremely important. They also believe that a nurse performs a wide range of tasks in accordance with the set principles of holistic treatment. Patients are satisfied with the treatment and have not made any specific comments or suggestions to improve it. They do not perceive obstacles or challenges in the context of the treatment.
