Title:MANUFACTURING OF A PISTOL RECOIL COMPENSATOR
Abstract:The thesis is based on the development of a recoil compensator for a pistol with the aim of reducing recoil forces and gun lift when firing. In sports shooting, we observe increased demands for weapon stability, as the gun lift during successive shots has a significant impact on the accuracy and speed of re-aiming at the target. The goal of the thesis was to design and manufacture a compensator that is attached to the pistol frame and thus does not directly affect the barrel and slide. Special attention was paid to the choice of material, shape of the compensator and appropriate weight, as these factors have a decisive impact on reducing recoil and safety of use. To test the effectiveness, two prototypes were manufactured, which differed mainly in the design of the openings and weight. The test results showed that both prototypes reduce gun lift compared to the basic model without a compensator. The prototype with a larger number of smaller openings proved to be more effective, which enabled a more even gas discharge and greater weapon stability.
