Abstract:Zagotavljanje dnevnega varstva za starostnike v lokalni skupnosti postaja vse pomembnejši segment sodobne skrbi za starejšo populacijo.

Title:PROVIDING DAY CARE IN THE LOCAL COMMUNITY
Abstract:Providing day care for the elderly in the local community is becoming an increasingly important segment of modern care for the older population. Demographic changes and longer life expectancy are leading to a growing need for structured forms of non-institutional care. Day care enables older adults to remain in their home environment for as long as possible, while at the same time contributing to the preservation of their independence, social inclusion, and physical and mental well-being. This service not only supports the users themselves but also relieves their relatives and reduces the pressure on institutional forms of care. A key role in delivering high-quality and comprehensive care is played by trained health and social care professionals as well as the local community. The aim of the research was to examine the provision of day care in the local community.
Keywords:day care, local community, older adults, non-institucional care.
