Abstract:Izhodišča: V večgeneracijskih timih zdravstvene nege se srečujejo posamezniki različnih starostnih skupin, ki v delovno okolje prinašajo raznolike vrednote, oblikovane pod vplivom družbenih sprememb. Vrednote, ki jih oblikujejo družina, družba in delovno okolje, usmerjajo vedenje zaposlenih in imajo pomembno vlogo pri razvoju profesionalnih vrednot zdravstvene nege. Podatke smo zbrali s spletno anketo in jih analizirali z ustreznimi statističnimi metodami in testi. Rezultati: V raziskavi so sodelovale štiri generacije: baby boom (8,9 %), X (40,3 %), Y (33,3 %) in Z (17,9 %).

Title:The impact of intergenerational values on the work of the nursing team
Abstract:Background: In multigenerational nursing teams, individuals from different age groups come together, bringing into the workplace a variety of values shaped by the societal changes of their time. These values—formed through family, society, and the work environment—guide employee behavior and play a crucial role in the development of professional nursing values. The purpose of the study was to examine the influence of generational values on teamwork in nursing care. Method: The study employed a descriptive, non-experimental research method with a deductive approach to empirical investigation. A quantitative research design was used. The sample included 201 employees at the Internal Clinic of the University Medical Centre Ljubljana. The questionnaire was developed based on a review of scientific literature, structured into five sections and consisting of both questions and statements. Data were collected through an online survey and analyzed using appropriate statistical methods and tests. Results: Four generations participated in the study: Baby boomers (8.9%), Generation X (40.3%), Generation Y (33.3%), and Generation Z (17.9%). Baby boomers ranked values such as respect, confidentiality, compassion, and professionalism more highly, while Generation Z emphasized skill and authenticity. Patient-related values were statistically associated with work engagement. Personal values such as autonomy at work, use of information technology, and spiritual growth significantly influenced employee satisfaction. Discussion: The study recommends promoting autonomy, investing in digital education, and strengthening team dynamics. It proposes the development of training programs focused on universal values rather than generational stereotypes, which could contribute to greater efficiency and harmony in nursing care.
