Abstract:Magistrska naloga obravnava uporabo oddaljenega dostopa, s posebnim poudarkom na protokolu RDP (angl. Remote Desktop Protocol).

Abstract:This master’s thesis examines the use of remote access technologies, with a particular focus on the Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP). The main objectives of the research were to determine the extent of their use in organizations, identify the most common security measures applied by users, and assess their level of awareness regarding potential risks. The theoretical part presents the core technologies of remote access, security threats, as well as the regulatory and standardization framework (GDPR, NIS2, and SI-CERT recommendations). The empirical part combines semi-structured interviews with experts and a quantitative survey analysis. Findings reveal that remote access has become standard practice; however, the adoption of security measures such as multi-factor authentication and continuous user training remains insufficient. The thesis highlights that technical solutions alone are not enough without continuous education of users and strong organizational support, confirming the need for a comprehensive approach to cybersecurity.
