Title:Vpliv inspiratornega mišičnega treninga s POWERbreathe pripomočkom na pljučno funkcijo

Abstract:Inspiratorni mišični trening (IMT) s pripomočkom POWERbreathe pri zdravih posameznikih vpliva na izboljšanje pljučne funkcije, posledično se pri zahtevnejših telesnih obremenitvah zaznava napora zmanjša, s tem pa tudi utrudljivost mišic. Z rednim IMT se zmogljivost dihalnih mišic lahko poveča. Izsledki raziskav potrjujejo, da IMT s pripomočkom POWERbreathe deluje učinkovito na pljučno funkcijo tudi pri bolnikih s KOPB, s srčnim popuščanjem, hipertenzijo, pri bolnikih s Parkinsonovo boleznijo, pri bolnikih s kronično ledvično boleznijo ter pri osebah z bolečinami v križu. Z IMT dosegamo večjo moč in vzdržljivost inspiratornih mišic, zmanjšujemo občutek dispneje, znižujemo krvni tlak, število okužb dihal in pojavnost pljučnice. Izvajanje IMT ima prav tako preventivno vlogo pred razvojem pooperativnih pljučnih zapletov. Oblika respiratornega mišičnega treninga (RMT) se priporoča tudi za starejše osebe, saj prispeva k boljšemu dinamičnemu ravnotežju, kar pri njih posledično zmanjša tveganje za padce. Če povzamemo ugotovitve raziskav, z rednimi respiratornimi treningi se lahko izboljša kakovost življenja tako zdravega posameznika, športnika kot tudi posameznika z zdravstvenimi omejitvami.

Title:Influence of inspiratory muscle training on lung function with POWERbreathe device
Abstract:Inspiratory muscle training (IMT) with the POWERbreathe device has the effect of improving lung function, and consequently reducing the perception of effort during strenuous exercise and thus fatigue in healthy people and athletes. Regardless of the level of physical fitness, the efficiency of the respiratory muscles increases with regular training. Research findings confirm that IMT with the POWERbreathe device is also efficient in improving lung function in patients with COPD, heart failure, hypertension, in patients with Parkinson's disease, in patients with chronic kidney disease and in patients with chronic low back pain. With inspiratory muscle training, we achieve greater strength and endurance of the inspiratory muscles, less perception of dyspnea, lower blood pressure, fewer respiratory infections and the incidence of pneumonia. It has a protective role in the development of postoperative pulmonary complications. Form of respiratory muscle training (RMT) is also recommended for the elderly, as it contributes to better dynamic balance, which reduces the risk of falls. In summary, regular training improves the quality of life both a healthy individual and athlete as well as an individual with different health conditions.
