Abstract:

Abstract:
The purpose of the thesis was to study security holes in the Internet of Things and thus contribute to the education of the average user. In the first part, the history of the Internet of Things and its essential concepts are described. Next, we focused on the most important communication links, such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. We paid special attention to the possibilities of connections among networks, and explored how advanced and energy efficient they are. We also introduced the complete Internet-enabled solutions offered by ZigBee and Z-Wave. In the following chapters we focused on software and hardware in the Internet of Things. A special chapter was dedicated to security and security holes in the smart web. In the end, we also made recommendations for using the Internet of Things to help individual users learn and use it.
