The future of supervision mechanisms under the OECD guidelines for multinational enterprises on responsible business conduct
Jernej Letnar Černič, 2024, independent scientific component part or a chapter in a monograph

Abstract: The OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises for Responsible Business Conduct are a quasi-legal document imposing obligations on the state to regulate the activities of multinational enterprises when doing business at home and outside the Member States of the OECD. This chapter discusses the current state of the OECD Guidelines for Responsible Business Conduct and their added value for rights holders concerning corporate adverse human rights conduct. It first describes the origins and background of adopting the document and then moves to analyse the supervision mechanisms of the OECD Guidelines. As such, it concentrates on the added value of the specific instance procedures before the National Contact Points (NCPs). In this regard, it also analyses the role of the OECD Investment Committee and its peer review mechanism of the NCPs. As a result, it argues that the OECD Governing body should strengthen enforcement mechanisms under the OECD Guidelines.

Izbira sistema ERP z uporabo metode večkriterijskega odločanja za mala oziroma srednje velika podjetja : magistrska naloga
Nina Strojinc, 2024, master's thesis

Abstract: Poslovnoinformacijski sistemi so z razvojem postali skoraj nepogrešljivi v organizacijah.

Abstract: One of the most essential necessities of trade is trust. Confidence can only be possible with certainty, which can only be achieved in trade if the rules of the law will be applied are certain. The need for certainty has encouraged humans to create uniform rules over the years. Therefore, the main purpose of this study is to analyse the main needs of trade. Because the trade needs are numerous and various, the most essential need which should be elaborated in depth is trust. It is worth mentioning that the confidence can be achieved only by certainty, and if the rules and law are applied with precision. Therefore, the need for certanity has encouraged people to create uniform rules and laws over the years. As another objective is to examinate in detail the Contracts for the International Sale of Goods which is regulated by the United Nations Convention, and which clarifies the right of sale. A thorough analysis is made to the unification of the law, because all legal systems are unified in a one frame. Having into account that the decision-making process is a process which significantly affects the sale of goods, we will try to analyze what happens if domestic law is replaced by international perspectives and if CISG is taken more into consideration. But, it appears that it is fully ignored, even it is considered the one of the most applied treaties in the world, and most importantly offers solutions to the parties. In this research was adressed carefully the poblem statement, and also are set five objevtives. As work methodology is used the descriptive method with analytical and comparative approaches. Future knowledge and process pattern recognition in weakly defined organizational formations : doctoral dissertation
Jernej Agrež, 2016, doctoral dissertation

Abstract: Customer knowledge as an influence on service provider’s business processes during emergencies is an interesting and relevant research topic. The aim of this research was to identify possible emergency response process improvements based on existing learning processes, and possible future knowledge exchange improvements. I reached the predefined objective, i.e. to identify how customer knowledge influences providers’ business processes and consequently triggers social impact, by conducting extensive work on all five parts of the thesis. I confirmed that the customer-provider relation based on customer knowledge exists and appears in several different forms. Finally, I identified possible improvements of the research and possibilities for further research by applying the designed methodological framework network analysis on a broader geographical scale. A significant contribution of this thesis is the integration of three fields of management: business process management, knowledge management, and disaster management. The research focuses on identifying knowledge-based customer-provider relations by emphasizing customer knowledge as an influence on provider’s business processes and possible consequential social impact. By studying these relations, I went beyond the usual comfort zone of conventional formal organizations and employed a loosely coupled system which emerges as a flood response mechanism during flood events.
