Abstract:Teoretična izhodišča: Zdravstvena nega postaja vse bolj zahtevna, kompleksna in razvejana zdravstvena disciplina. Vse hitrejši razvoj različnih znanosti in disciplin ter celovito reševanje čedalje zapletenejših težav narekujeta vse večjo potrebo po timskem delu. Zdravstvene time sestavljajo različni zdravstveni strokovnjaki. Timski pristop prinaša veliko pozitivnih sprememb glede rezultatov zdravljenja. Podatke smo zbrali s tehniko anketiranja.

Title:The importance of good communication for relationship in the nursing team
Abstract:Theoretical starting points: Nursing is becoming an increasingly demanding, complex, and diverse healthcare profession. The rapid development of various sciences and disciplines and the comprehensive solutions for progressively more complex problems facilitate an increasing demand for teamwork. Medical teams are comprised of diverse healthcare professionals. The team approach ushers in multiple beneficial changes regarding positive treatment outcomes. Relationships between healthcare professionals are paramount to high-quality healthcare. Relationships in a team are constructed through communication as good communication builds trust, trust triggers dedication, dedication motivates teamwork, and teamwork in turn generates results. Good communication between healthcare professionals and patients is of utmost importance to the successful outcome of the patient’s nursing care. To achieve this, healthcare professionals must understand and help the patients, and be kind, polite, and sincere. Healthcare professionals must devote enough time to confidential communication with the patient while not forgetting that there are other persons involved in this communication who are close to the patient. Thus, the language of communication must be easy to understand for all those involved. Methods: We used a quantitative research approach. For the needs of the empirical part, primary and secondary sources were collected, analyzed, and synthesized. The data were collected using the survey technique. Discussion: The discussed topic is important because quality patient care and successful treatment of the patient depend on the quality of the communication. Good communication is absolutely crucial for relationships in healthcare teams and important for the successful outcome of the treatment of a patient. Therefore, in our master’s thesis, we studied healthcare professional teams, communication, and relationships in healthcare professional teams. Results: The research showed that the first-cycle part-time students of the University of Novo mesto, Faculty of Health Sciences, who work in teams in various healthcare institutions, are aware of the importance of good communication and consider the communication in their respective work teams to be good. Occasionally, conflicts break out amongst colleagues, trust is rated rather poorly, and the students most often encounter organizational obstacles. Based on the results of the study, we recommend regular weekly meetings, occasional communication training, the use of methods for stress relief, and supervision. The study can be the basis for further research and proposals for new measures to improve communication and mutual relationships in healthcare professional teams.
