Abstract:Namen: V diplomskem delu raziskujemo ključno vlogo medicinskih sester pri zdravljenju akutne levkemije in analiziramo vpliv njihovega dela na uspešnost zdravljenja ter kakovost življenja bolnikov.

Abstract:Purpose: The thesis investigates the key role of nurses in the treatment of acute leukemia and analyzes the impact of their work on the success of treatment and the quality of life of patients. We focus on three research questions that relate to different aspects of their roles. We reviewed the relevant literature to understand the importance and impact of these tasks. Method: For research, we used a descriptive method with an integrative literature review, according to the PRISMA methodology. A qualitative and systematic approach included a review of various online search engines of scientific and professional literature in databases such as PubMed, Medline and CINAHL. We systematically analyzed the articles in order to gain a comprehensive insight into the topic under discussion. Results: After reviewing the literature, we selected four key articles that correspond to our research questions. All studies confirm that the role of nurses plays a key role in providing quality care to patients with acute leukemia. The analyzed articles uniformly emphasize that their contribution has a significant impact on the success of treatment and the improvement of patients' quality of life. Discussion: We investigate the role of nurses in the treatment of acute leukemia through the different stages of treatment. The study findings highlight the importance of personalized education, quality care during chemotherapy and long-term management of complications. The studies also highlight the need to better understand psychological challenges and work with other team members.
