Abstract:Uvod in namen: Kalcinirajoči tendinitis ramenskega sklepa je pogost vzrok netravmatske bolečine v rami, za katerega so značilni kalcijevi depoziti v tetivah rotatorne manšete. Metode: Sistematični pregled literature o uspešnosti fizioterapevtske obravnave pacienta s kalcinirajočim tendinitisom ramenskega obroča s pomočjo elektronskih baz podatkov ScienceDirect, PubMed, PEDro in Google Scholar.

Title:Effectiveness of physiotherapy treatment in a patient with calcific tendinitis of the shoulder girdle
Abstract:Introduction and Purpose: Calcific tendinitis of the shoulder joint is a common cause of non-traumatic shoulder pain, characterised by calcium deposits in the tendons of the rotator cuff. Diagnosis is based on X-ray and ultrasound examinations, and treatment includes physiotherapy, shock wave therapy, anti-inflammatory drugs and, if necessary, surgical removal of calcinations. The aim of this thesis is to present calcific tendinitis of the shoulder girdle in terms of anatomy, biomechanics, aetiology, pathogenesis and physiotherapeutic management. Methods: A systematic review of the literature on the effectiveness of physiotherapy management of patients with calcific tendinitis of the shoulder using the electronic databases ScienceDirect, PubMed, PEDro and Google Scholar. Results: Research has shown that the most effective methods are shockwave therapy, a combination of shockwave and kinesiotaping, and electroacupuncture as an adjunct to NSAIDs. The combination of ultrasound and therapeutic exercises also proved effective. Relevance: The thesis provides a better understanding of the effectiveness of different therapies in the treatment of calcific tendinitis of the shoulder girdle and supports the selection of combined techniques for long-term results, thus contributing to the optimisation of physiotherapy protocols. It also provides guidelines for future research and highlights affordable therapies for resource-constrained practices. Limitations: The scientific and peer-reviewed literature shows a small number of high-quality studies with small samples of subjects in individual studies. Keywords: effectiveness, physiotherapy, calcific, tendinitis, shoulder joint.
