Title:Pomen telesne aktivnosti med delovnim časom pri medicinskih sestrah

Abstract:Teoretična izhodišča: Delo medicinskih sester zahteva visoko stopnjo empatije do pacientov, hkrati pa vključuje težke fizične, psihične, socialne in čustvene obremenitve, kar lahko negativno vpliva na njihovo fizično in duševno zdravje. Čeprav telesna aktivnost prinaša številne koristi, je raziskav, ki bi se specifično osredotočale na telesno aktivnost medicinskih sester med delovnim časom in njeno prilagoditev na delovno okolje, zelo malo. Namen magistrskega dela je preučiti pomen izvajanja telesne aktivnosti med delovnim časom pri medicinskih sestrah in ugotoviti, kako le-ta vpliva na njihovo fizično in psihično zdravje, počutje, zadovoljstvo, delovno učinkovitost in odsotnost z dela. Cilj je razviti priporočila za delovne organizacije, ki bodo izboljšala delovno okolje, spodbujala promocijo zdravja na delovnem mestu in povečala telesno aktivnost medicinskih sester med delovnim časom. Metode: Raziskava je temeljila na kvalitativni in deskriptivni metodi dela, ki je vključevala pregled strokovne literature. V empiričnem delu je bilo analiziranih 21 raziskav. Pri analizi je bila uporabljena kvalitativna vsebinska analiza podatkov, ki temelji na odprtem kodiranju, s ciljem oblikovanja vsebinskih kategorij. Iskanje literature je potekalo v slovenskih in tujih podatkovnih bazah (COBISS, PubMed, Google Scolar, Springer Nature Link) z uporabo ključnih besed, kot so telesna vadba, promocija zdravja, medicinske sestre, gibanje, delovno mesto in delovni čas. Iskanje je bilo omejeno na članke v slovenskem ali angleškem jeziku in je zajemalo obdobje od leta 2014 do 2025. Pri analizi smo upoštevali hierarhijo dokazov po Politu in Becku (2018). Rezultati: Analiza obstoječe literature je pokazala, da telesna aktivnost pri medicinskih sestrah na delovnem mestu izboljšuje in ohranja fizično in psihično zdravje ter vzdržljivost, vpliva na obvladovanje kronično nenalezljivih bolezni, povečanje energije, zmanjšanje absentizma in prezentizma. Pozitivne koristi so se pokazale pri zmanjšanju izgorelosti, anksioznosti, depresije in poklicnega stresa, izboljšanju spanja, zmanjšanju sklepno-mišičnih obolenj, izboljšanju produktivnosti in zadovoljstva pri delu, kar pripomore h kvaliteti opravljenih storitev pri pacientu. Poleg omenjenih pozitivnih koristi telesna vadba vpliva na izboljšanje gibljivosti, ravnotežja, zmanjšuje poškodbe, povezane z delom, utrjuje samospoštovanje, samozavest, krepi socialne vezi med sodelavci ter spodbuja druženje, kar ustvarja timski duh na delovnem mestu. Zadovoljevanje osnovnih življenjskih potreb prispeva k uresničevanju potreb po samouresničevanju, kar pozitivno vpliva na motivacijo, ki omogoča boljše ravnovesje med osebnim in poklicnim življenjem. Koristi se kažejo z večjo delovno sposobnostjo in učinkovitostjo na delovnem mestu. Razprava: Telesna aktivnost na delovnem mestu prinaša številne zdravstvene koristi, ki so ključne za ohranjanje dobrega počutja in preprečevanja poklicnih bolezni, še posebej v zahtevnih poklicih, kot je zdravstvena nega. Redna telesna aktivnost prispeva k boljšemu duševnemu in telesnemu zdravju, kar posledično izboljša kakovost dela in splošno dobrobit zaposlenih. Pomembno je, da delodajalci prepoznajo koristi telesne vadbe in ustvarijo podporno okolje za izvajanje telesnih aktivnosti med delovnim časom, saj to pripomore k večji produktivnosti ter zmanjšanju bolniških odsotnosti in prezentizma na delovnem mestu. Potreba po tovrstnih raziskavah izhaja iz dejstva, da primanjkuje sistematičnih pristopov k izvajanju in spodbujanju telesne aktivnosti na delovnem mestu.

Title:The importance of physical activity at the workplace for nurses
Abstract:Theoretical foundations: The work of nurses requires a high level of empathy for patients, while also involving heavy physical, psychological, social and emotional burdens, which can negatively affect their physical and mental health. Although physical activity brings many benefits, there is very little research that specifically focuses on the physical activity of nurses during working hours and its adaptation to the work environment. The purpose of the master's thesis is to examine the importance of physical activity during working hours for nurses and to determine how it affects their physical and mental health, well-being, satisfaction, work efficiency, and absenteeism from work. The goal is to develop recommendations for work organizations that will improve the work environment, encourage health promotion in the workplace and increase the physical activity of nurses during working hours. Methods: The research was based on a qualitative and descriptive work method, which included a review of the professional literature. In the empirical part, 21 studies were analyzed. The analysis used qualitative content analysis of data based on open coding, with the aim of forming content categories. The literature search was conducted in Slovenian and foreign databases (COBISS, PubMed, Google Scholar, Springer Nature Link) using keywords such as physical exercise, health promotion, nurses, movement, workplace and working hours. The search was limited to articles in Slovenian or English and covered the period from 2014 to 2024. The analysis took into account the hierarchy of evidence according to Polit and Beck (2018). Results: The analysis of existing literature showed that physical activity in nurses at work improves and maintains physical and mental health and endurance, affects the management of chronic non-communicable diseases, increases energy, reduces absenteeism and presenteeism. Positive benefits were shown in reducing burnout, anxiety, depression and occupational stress, improving sleep, reducing musculoskeletal disorders, improving productivity and job satisfaction, which contributes to the quality of services provided to patients. In addition to the above-mentioned positive benefits, physical exercise improves mobility, balance, reduces work-related injuries, strengthens self-esteem, self-confidence, strengthens social bonds between colleagues and encourages socializing, which creates a team spirit in the workplace. Satisfying basic life needs contributes to the realization of self-actualization needs, which has a positive impact on motivation, which allows for a better balance between personal and professional life. The benefits are manifested in greater work capacity and efficiency in the workplace. Discussion: Physical exercise brings numerous health benefits that are key to maintaining well-being and preventing disease, especially in demanding professions such as nursing. Regular physical activity contributes to better mental and physical health, which in turn improves the quality of work and the general well-being of employees. It is important that employers recognise the benefits of physical exercise and create a supportive environment for physical activity during working hours, as this helps to increase productivity and reduce sickness absence and presenteeism at work. The need for this type of research stems from the fact that there is a lack of systematic approaches to the implementation and promotion of physical activity at work.
