Abstract:Uvod: V stroki zdravstvene nege zaradi preobremenjenosti in težjih delovnih pogojev prihaja do vse več konfliktov in izgorelosti medicinskih sester.

Abstract:Introduction: In the nursing profession due to overload and difficult working conditions, there is an increasing number of conflicts and burnout of nurses. Finally, patients also feel this, and nurses carry this stress into their home. Supervision is offered as a possible solution. Research methodology: In the thesis, we used a descriptive method of work for the theoretical part of the assignment. The research part was conducted according to the quantitative method, the instrument used was a questionnaire with 20 questions. With the questionnaire, we wanted to find out the knowledge of supervision and their opinion about its use in practice among nursing professionals in retirement home Poljčane and their unit Slovenska Bistrica. The sampling was carried in September 2024, the data was processed using Microsoft Excel and SPSS. Results: Based on the hypothesis, we found out that respondents who are older than 50 years do not agree thar regular co-supervision would improve communication between superiors and subordinates (29 %). We confirmed the hypothesis that respondents 6 – 15 years of experience believe that supervision should be introduced in nursing (78 %). We found that the majority of caregivers do not agree that supervision would relive the health worker (36 %). Discussion and conclusion: Because the problem of stress and conflict in nursing is to great, something needs to be done about it. Supervision is seen as something good and necessary to relive workers and give them more motivation at work.
