Abstract:V diplomski nalogi smo preučili vpliv osebnih vrednot na karierni razvoj posameznika, zlasti v povezavi s kariernim razvojem in zaposlitvijo. Poudarili smo, da osebne vrednote oblikujejo temeljni okvir za sprejemanje odločitev, ki vplivajo na karierno pot, saj usmerjajo posameznika k ciljem, skladnim z njegovimi prepričanji in življenjskimi prioritetami. Raziskava je pokazala, da so vrednote ključne za izbiro poklica, dolgoročno zadovoljstvo in uspeh v karieri. Ugotovili smo, da usklajenost med vrednotami posameznika in organizacije vpliva na delovno uspešnost ter pripadnost zaposlenih. Podjetja, ki prepoznavajo in vključujejo vrednote svojih zaposlenih, ustvarjajo boljše delovno okolje, ki spodbuja inovativnost in dolgoročno rast. Vrednote se skozi življenje spreminjajo, zato je pomembno, da posamezniki redno reflektirajo in prilagajajo svojo kariero. Raziskava je potrdila, da zgodnje prepoznavanje in vključevanje vrednot v karierni razvoj pripomore k večji poklicni izpolnjenosti in zadovoljstvu. Pomembno je, da tako posamezniki kot institucije pri načrtovanju kariere in oblikovanju delovnega okolja vrednote postavijo v ospredje.

Title:The role of Values in Career Development
Abstract:In this thesis, we examined the impact of personal values on an individual's career development, particularly in relation to career progression and employment. We emphasized that personal values form a fundamental framework for decision-making that influences one’s career path, as they guide individuals toward goals that align with their beliefs and life priorities. The research showed that values are crucial in choosing a profession, achieving long-term job satisfaction, and attaining career success. We found that alignment between individual and organizational values significantly affects work performance and employee commitment. Organizations that recognize and integrate their employees' values create a better work environment, fostering innovation and long-term growth. Since values evolve over time, it is important for individuals to regularly reflect on and adapt their careers accordingly. The study confirmed that early identification and integration of values into career development contribute to greater professional fulfillment and satisfaction. It is essential that both individuals and organizations place values at the forefront when planning careers and shaping the work environment.
