Abstract:Ugotovitve raziskave potrjujejo, da ima medicinska sestra ključno vlogo pri zgodnjem prepoznavanju pljučnega edema, saj pri oceni stanja združuje subjektivne pacientove težave in objektivne klinične znake.

Title:THE ROLE OF THE NURSE IN THE TREATMENT OF A PATIENT WITH PULMONARY EDEMA
Abstract:In the discussion, we comprehensively addressed 4 research questions that explained the role of the nurse in the treatment of a patient with pulmonary edema. The findings of the study confirm that the nurse plays a key role in the early recognition of pulmonary edema, as she combines the patient's subjective problems and objective clinical signs in the assessment of the condition. The results show that nursing activities are primarily focused on supporting breathing, monitoring vital functions and implementing therapy, which is essential for the rapid stabilization of the patient in an acute condition. An important part of the nurse's role is also psychological support for the patient and effective cooperation with the doctor and other members of the healthcare team. The study confirms that comprehensive, professional and timely treatment by the nurse is key to the safe and effective treatment of a patient with pulmonary edema, although the findings cannot be generalized due to the limited sample.
Keywords:nurse, pulmonary edema, patient, nursing.
