| Abstract: | Naraščajoča priljubljenost korektivnih in estetskih posegov v sodobni družbi je rezultat vpliva medijev, slavnih oseb, zmanjšanja družbenih tabujev, tehnološkega napredka, dostopnosti posegov ter prizadevanja za povečanje samozavesti in profesionalne konkurenčnosti. Čeprav prejšnje raziskave potrjujejo pozitiven vpliv posegov na psihološko dobrobit, obstaja vrzel pri preučevanju njihove povezanosti s kakovostjo socialne komunikacije. Ta raziskava temelji na teoriji socialne komunikacije in je preučevala, kako korektivni in estetski posegi vplivajo na socialno komunikacijo, samozavest in percepcijo družbe ter kako ta izboljšanja prispevajo k splošnemu zadovoljstvu udeležencev z rezultati posegov. V raziskavi je bilo testiranih pet hipotez. Analizirane so bile spremembe v medosebni dinamiki, asertivnosti, odprtosti, profesionalnih odnosih in čustvenih povezavah, pri čemer so bili posegi obravnavani kot orodje za psihosocialno integracijo in razvoj komunikacije. Raziskava je uporabila mešan model z kvantitativnim delom (210 udeležencev, Likertove lestvice) in kvalitativnim delom (50 udeležencev, polstrukturirani intervjuji) v longitudinalni zasnovi. Kvantitativni podatki so bili analizirani v SPSS, kvalitativni pa z uporabo tematske analize. Rezultati kažejo, da posegi pomembno izboljšujejo socialno komunikacijo z večjo samozavestjo, asertivnostjo in čustveno dostopnostjo, izboljšano interpretacijo verbalnih in neverbalnih znakov ter večjo proaktivnostjo v interakcijah, še posebej pri ženskah in posameznikih z višjo izobrazbo. Estetski in korektivni posegi delujejo kot katalizator psihosocialnih preobrazb, omogočajo večjo avtentičnost, družbeno vidnost in varnost v komunikaciji. To delo prispeva k integraciji estetskih, komunikacijskih in psiholoških vidikov, poglablja razumevanje povezave med fizičnimi spremembami in socialnim delovanjem ter nudi smernice strokovnjakom za razvoj učinkovitih komunikacijskih strategij in podporo pozitivnim psihosocialnim učinkom.The growing popularity of corrective and aesthetic procedures in contemporary society is the result of the influence of media, celebrities, the reduction of social taboos, technological advancements, the accessibility of procedures, and the desire to enhance self-confidence and professional competitiveness. Although previous research confirms the positive impact of such procedures on psychological well-being, a gap remains in exploring their relationship with the quality of social communication. This study is grounded in social communication theory and examined how corrective and aesthetic procedures affect social communication, self-confidence, and societal perception, as well as how these improvements contribute to participants’ overall satisfaction with the outcomes of the procedures. Five hypotheses were tested in the research. Changes in interpersonal dynamics, assertiveness, openness, professional relationships, and emotional connections were analyzed, with procedures viewed as tools for psychosocial integration and communication development. The study employed a mixed-methods design, combining quantitative (210 participants, Likert scales) and qualitative (50 participants, semi-structured interviews) approaches in a longitudinal framework. Quantitative data were analyzed using SPSS, while qualitative data were examined through thematic analysis. Results indicate that the procedures significantly enhance social communication through increased self-confidence, assertiveness, and emotional availability, improved interpretation of verbal and nonverbal cues, and greater proactivity in interactions, especially among women and individuals with higher education. Aesthetic and corrective procedures act as catalysts for psychosocial transformation, enabling greater authenticity, social visibility, and communication confidence. This study contributes to the integration of aesthetic, communicative, and psychological aspects, deepening the understanding of the connection between physical changes and social functioning, and provides guidance for professionals in developing effective communication strategies and supporting positive psychosocial outcomes. |
