Abstract:Diplomska naloga preučuje povezavo med organizacijsko kulturo in uspešnostjo poslovanja podjetja.

Title:Organizational Culture and Business Performance
Abstract:The thesis examines the relationship between organizational culture and business performance. The research is based on the question of how values, norms, customs, symbols and communication shape the working environment and guide employee behavior. We were particularly interested in the extent to which a positive and well-developed culture contributes to greater engagement, satisfaction and the company’s long-term competitiveness, and consequently to its business performance. The study also addresses the dilemmas of the modern business environment, where companies face dynamic changes and the need for flexibility and innovation. The theoretical part presents various definitions of organizational culture and highlights its role in shaping organizational behavior. It is emphasized that business performance cannot rely solely on financial indicators but must also include non-financial dimensions such as the quality of relationships, corporate reputation, innovation and the ability to adapt to change. The empirical part is based on a survey through which we analyzed employees’ views on the impact of organizational culture on their work and on the company’s results. The findings show that employees recognize culture as a key factor that fosters motivation, productivity, a sense of belonging and cooperation. We found that open communication, participative leadership and opportunities for personal and professional development significantly influence employee satisfaction and effectiveness, and thus business performance. Based on the results, we conclude that organizational culture is closely linked to business performance. Companies that treat culture as a strategic factor and consciously develop it are more likely to achieve sustainable growth, stability and long-term competitive advantage.
