Abstract:Uvod: Anksiozna motnja je v teh časih najpogostejša duševna motnja, ki lahko prizadene človeka v vseh starostnih skupinah in v različnih časovnih obdobjih. S svojimi simptomi vpliva na različne ravni življenjskega vsakdanjika, zaobjame pa lahko tudi naš spanec. Cilji: Zastavljeni cilji diplomskega dela so bili podrobno preučiti vpliv anksioznosti na kakovost spanja ter obratno. Na podlagi pregleda literature predstaviti simptomatiko, kategorije in zdravljenje anksioznosti ter vidike spanja, motnje in pomen higiene spanja. Osrednja analiza se osredotoča na podrobnejše razumevanje povezave med anksioznostjo in spanjem, na učinkovitost intervencij oziroma higiene spanja ter sam vpliv zdravljenja anksioznosti na kakovost spanja. Metode: V diplomskem delu smo uporabili deskriptivno, kompilacijsko in kvalitativno metodo, kjer so se podatki zbrali iz znanstvene in strokovne literature različnih podatkovnih baz. Postopek iskanja, zbiranja in izključevanja virov je prikazan s PRISMA diagramom. Rezultati: V končno analizo smo vključili 11 člankov. Ugotovitve so dokazale, da anksioznost s simptomi, kot so občutek hitrega bitja srca, motnje spanja, utrujenost vplivajo na kakovost spanja, kar se kaže s prebujanjem, trajanjem spanja, časom uspavanja in celotno kakovostjo spanja. S pomočjo intervencij, ki izboljšajo spanje, imajo te hkratni pozitivni učinek na duševno zdravje. Zdravljenje anksiozne motnje lahko prispeva k izboljšanju simptomov, s svojimi stranskimi učinki pa povzroči motnje spanja. Razprava: Potrebno se je poglobljeno osredotočiti na različne ravni anksiozne simptomatike in jih povezati s spanjem. Obravnavati je potrebno oba dejavniki hkrati, saj sta enakovredno povezana s kvaliteto našega duševnega zdravja.

Abstract:Introduction: Anxiety disorder is currently the most common mental disorder, which can affect people of all ages and at different times in their lives. Its symptoms affect various aspects of everyday life and can also affect our sleep. Objectives: The objectives of this thesis where to examine in the detail the impact of anxiety on sleep quality and vice versa. Based on a review of the literature present symptoms, categories, and treatment of anxiety, as well as aspects of sleep, sleep disorders, and the importance of sleep hygiene. Main analysis focuses on a more specific understanding of the connection between anxiety and sleep, the eficiency of the interventions or good sleep hygiene, and the impact of anxiety treatment on sleep quality. Methods: In the thesis, we used descriptve, compilation, and qualitative methods, where we collected data from scientific and professional literature from different databases. The process of searching, collecting, and eliminating sources is shown in the PRISMA diagram. Results: In total we included 11 articales in the final analysis. The findings showed that anxiety with symptoms, such as fast heartbeat, sleep disturbances, and fatique affects sleep quality, as revealed by waking up, sleep duration, sleep onset time, and overall sleep quality. Interventions that improve sleep also have a positive impact on mental health. Treatment of anxiety disorders can reduce symptoms, but its side effects can cause sleep disturbances. Discussion: It is needed to focus in depth on the different levels of anxiety symptoms and to relate them to sleep. Both aspects need to be addressed at the same time, as they equally related to the quality of our mental health.
