Abstract:Teoretična izhodišča: Medicinske sestre predstavljajo večdimenzionalno vlogo pri obravnavi pacientov z bipolarno motnjo. Združujejo strokovno znanje, sočutje, komunikacijske spretnosti in kot povezovalni člen med pacienti, zdravniki in drugimi člani zdravstvenega tima. Metode: Diplomsko delo temelji na kvalitativni raziskovalni metodi, na analizi strokovne literature. Glavni cilj je bil pregledati in analizirati zdravstvene ter strokovne članke, ki obravnavo vlogo medicinske sestre pri bipolarni motnji. Analiza je potekala z osmimi zbranimi članki, pri čemer so ključna področja zajemala delovanje medicinske sestre s pacienti z bipolarno motnjo. Ugotovitve so predstavljene opisno in služijo kot osnova za razumevanje pomena zdravstvene nege pri obravnavi oseb z bipolarno motnjo. Rezultati: Medicinske sestre imajo ključno in večplastno vlogo pri obravnavi pacientov z bipolarno motnjo, med katere se uvrščajo zgodnje prepoznavanje simptomov, edukacija pacientov in svojcev, spremljanje zdravljenja ter sodelovanje pri terapiji, preprečevanje samomorilnega vedenja, psihosocialna podpora in vzpostavljanje medosebnega odnos kot terapevtsko orodje za doseg večje učinkovitosti obravnave ter izboljšanja kakovosti življenja oseb z bipolarno motnjo. Razprava: S svojim znanjem, empatijo in prisotnostjo medicinske sestre bistveno pripomorejo k izboljšanju kakovosti življenja oseb z bipolarno motnjo ter njihovemu vključevanju v vsakdanje življenje in družbo.

Abstract:Theoretical background: Nurses play a multidimensional role in the treatment of patients with bipolar disorder. They combine professional knowledge, compassion, communication skills, and act as a link between patients, doctors, and other members of the healthcare team. Methods: The thesis is based on a qualitative research method and an analysis of professional literature. The main objective was to review and analyze medical and professional articles that discuss the role of nurses in bipolar disorder. The analysis was conducted using eight collected articles, with key areas covering the work of nurses. The findings are presented descriptively and serve as a basis for understanding the importance of nursing care in the treatment of people with bipolar disorder. Results: Nurses play a key and multifaceted role in the treatment of patients with bipolar disorder, including early recognition of symptoms, educating patients and their families, monitoring treatment and participating in therapy, preventing suicidal behavior, providing psychosocial support, and establishing interpersonal relationships as a therapeutic tool to achieve greater treatment effectiveness and improve the quality of life of people with bipolar disorder. Discussion: With their knowledge, empathy, and presence, nurses contribute significantly to improving the quality of life of people with bipolar disorder and their integration into everyday life and society.
