Abstract:Izhodišča: Artroskopija kolena je pogosto uporabljen minimalno invaziven kirurški poseg. Poseben poudarek namenjajo preprečevanju okužb in pravilni prevezi rane. Pomembno vlogo pripisujejo tudi zdravstveno-vzgojnemu delu s pacienti. Večina sodelujočih je izpostavila pomen doslednega upoštevanja smernic. Vse intervjujanke so navedle, da izkušnje pomembno vplivajo na kakovost oskrbe. Razprava: Ugotovitve raziskave potrjujejo pomembno vlogo medicinske sestre pri pooperativni oskrbi ran. Primerjava z literaturo kaže podobne rezultate glede pomena znanja in izkušenj.

Title:NURSES ROLE IN CARE OF POSTOPERATIVE WOUNDS AFTER ARTHROSCOPIC PROCEDURES
Abstract:Introduction: Knee arthroscopy is a commonly performed minimally invasive surgical procedure. Despite small incisions, proper postoperative wound care is essential to prevent complications. Nurses play a key role in monitoring wound healing. Early detection of complications contributes to better patient outcomes. The aim of this study was to present the role of nurses in postoperative wound care after arthroscopic procedures. Methods: A qualitative research approach was used in this study. The descriptive method was applied. Data were collected using semi-structured interviews. Eight healthcare professionals participated in the study. Data were analysed through transcription and content analysis. Results: All participants agreed that nurses have good understanding of basic postoperative wound care principles. Special attention is given to infection prevention and proper dressing changes. Patient education was identified as an important part of nursing care. Most participants emphasized the importance of following clinical guidelines. Work experience was found to significantly influence the quality of care. Discussion: The findings confirm the important role of nurses in postoperative wound care. The results are consistent with existing literature. Proper wound care reduces the risk of complications and infections. Effective communication between the nurse and patients is also crucial. Further research could contribute to improvements in clinical practice.
