Abstract:Uvod: Preobremenitveni sindrom fleksorjev kolena (PSFK) in preobremenitveni sindrom adduktorjev kolka (PSAK) sodita med najpogostejše mišično-tetivne preobremenitvene po-škodbe v profesionalnem nogometu. SNL v sezoni 2025/2026. Podatki so bili analizirani z deskriptivnimi statističnimi postopki. Razprava: Rezultati potrjujejo, da sta PSFK in PSAK v 1. SNL pogosta in ponavljajoča sindroma. Visoka stopnja ponovitev poudarja pomen nadzorovanega postopnega dviga obre-menitev, progresivne ekscentrične vadbe ter vključitve preventivnih vaj v trenažni proces.

Abstract:Introduction: Overuse syndromes of the knee flexors (PSFK) and hip adductors (PSAK) are among the most common musculotendinous overload injuries in professional football. They develop as a result of an imbalance between training loads and the regenerative capac-ity of the tissue, leading to progressive microtrauma accumulation, pain, and reduced func-tional performance. As both syndromes significantly affect training continuity and match readiness, understanding their prevalence, recurrence patterns, and rehabilitation and pre-vention strategies is essential for physiotherapists working in football. Methods: The study was designed as a cross-sectional quantitative investigation. An anon-ymous online questionnaire was used to collect data on the occurrence of PSFK and PSAK, recurrence timing and frequency, rehabilitation characteristics, and preventive practices. The sample included 74 professional football players competing in the Slovenian First League (1. SNL) during the 2025/26 season. Data were analysed using descriptive statistical meth-ods. Results: PSFK was experienced by 33.8% of players during their career, while 24.3% of players reported PSAK. Recurrences occurred in 36.0% of PSFK cases and 33.3% of PSAK cases, most frequently between the 2nd and 4th week after returning to training. Kinesither-apy was included as a form of physiotherapeutic treatment in 88.0% of players with PSFK, while 83.3% of players with PSAK performed stabilization exercises targeting the pelvic girdle and trunk muscles. After rehabilitation, preventive exercises were regularly performed by 68.0% of players after PSFK and 72.2% of players after PSAK. Discussion: The findings confirm that PSFK and PSAK are common and recurrent syn-dromes in 1. SNL players. The high recurrence rates highlight the importance of controlled progressive load management, eccentric strengthening, and integration of preventive exer-cise strategies within the training process.
