Podatki so bili obdelani z deskriptivno statistiko. Razprava in sklep: Rezultati kažejo na visoko stopnjo sprejemanja pozitivne psihologije med slovenskimi fizioterapevti in široko intuitivno uporabo teh pristopov. Kljub temu obstaja pomembna vrzel med osnovnim poznavanjem in formalno usposobljenostjo.

Abstract:Introduction: Positive psychology represents a branch of psychology that focuses on enhancing human well-being, optimism, hope, and resilience. In physiotherapy, positive psychological approaches can significantly contribute to more successful rehabilitation by influencing patient motivation, therapy compliance, and overall psychological well-being. The purpose of this thesis was to investigate the knowledge and application of positive psychology among physiotherapists in Slovenia and to determine their attitudes towards incorporating these techniques into practice. Methods: A quantitative study was conducted using a survey questionnaire among 75 physiotherapists from various healthcare institutions in Slovenia. The questionnaire included demographic data, knowledge of positive psychology, attitudes towards its use, and frequency of implementation in practice. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. Results: The study showed that 83 % of physiotherapists are familiar with the concept of positive psychology, but only 15 % rate their knowledge as good or very good. As many as 96 % of respondents believe that positive psychology techniques can improve rehabilitation outcomes, and 91 % use these techniques in practice. They most commonly use motivation enhancement for goal achievement (88 %) and optimistic approaches (63 %). The main reason for non-use is lack of knowledge of these techniques. A high proportion of physiotherapists (76 %) desire additional training in this field. Discussion and conclusion: The results indicate a high level of acceptance of positive psychology among Slovenian physiotherapists and widespread intuitive use of these approaches. However, there is a significant gap between basic familiarity and formal competency. Development of structured educational programs is needed for systematic implementation of positive psychological techniques in physiotherapy practice.
