Pregledane raziskave so zajemale različne starostne skupine otrok in gibalne programe z različno pogostostjo, trajanjem in intenzivnostjo.

Title:The Influence of Physical Activity on Children's Posture
Abstract:The thesis examines the impact of physical activity on children’s posture, focusing on the importance of regular movement for the development of muscle strength, trunk stability, and the prevention of postural abnormalities. Due to a sedentary lifestyle, prolonged sitting, and reduced physical activity, postural problems are increasingly common among children, which can lead to musculoskeletal issues even at an early age. The aim of the study was, based on a literature review, to determine how different forms of physical activity influence children’s posture and which types of exercise are most effective. The analysis included studies investigating various types of exercise, such as strength training, trunk stabilization, flexibility, balance, and coordination exercises. A systematic literature review was conducted using the PubMed, PEDro, ScienceDirect, Google Scholar, and COBISS databases, including articles published between 1985 and 2025 that met predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria. The reviewed studies covered different age groups of children and diverse exercise programs varying in frequency, duration, and intensity. The results showed that regular and structured physical activity has a positive effect on children’s posture by improving trunk stability, increasing muscle strength, and reducing the occurrence of postural deviations. The greatest benefits were observed in programs that combined multiple types of exercises and were adapted to the children’s age and abilities. The findings are practically valuable for physiotherapists, teachers, sports educators, and parents, providing evidence-based guidelines for designing preventive exercise programs and for early detection of postural problems. The main limitation of the study is the absence of original empirical research and the variability of methods used to assess posture and implement exercise interventions, which may limit direct comparability of results. Nevertheless, the thesis confirms that physical activity is a key factor in healthy physical development and in improving children’s quality of life.
