Abstract:Diplomska naloga obravnava lateralno razmišljanje kot temeljni koncept kreativnega mišljenja ter njegovo vlogo pri spodbujanju inovativnosti v podjetjih. Kljub razvoju digitalnih tehnologij in umetne inteligence naloga izpostavlja, da kreativnost ostaja predvsem človeška veščina, ki jo je mogoče razvijati z učenjem in sistematično uporabo miselnih orodij. Izhodišče za predstavitev lateralnega razmišljanja bo znani mislec Edward de Bono (1933–2021), ki je tudi uvedel izraz lateralno razmišljanje. V teoretičnem delu naloga opredeli pojme ustvarjalnosti, zaznavanja in razmišljanja ter poudari kreativnost kot proces, ki je pogojen z uporabo tehnik in organizacijsko kulturo. Empirični del temelji na kvalitativnem pristopu, pri katerem je izvedena primerjalna analiza sedmih izbranih metod kreativnega razmišljanja glede na pet vnaprej določenih kriterijev. Namen naloge je ugotoviti, kako lateralno razmišljanje in metode kreativnega mišljenja prispevajo k inovativnosti, večji prilagodljivosti ter trajnostni konkurenčni prednosti podjetij.

Abstract:The thesis examines lateral thinking as a fundamental concept of creative thinking and its role in fostering innovation in companies. Despite the rapid development of digital technologies and artificial intelligence, the thesis highlights that creativity remains primarily a human skill that can be developed through learning and the systematic use of thinking tools. The starting point for the presentation of lateral thinking is the renowned thinker Edward de Bono (1933–2021), who introduced the term “lateral thinking.” In the theoretical part, the thesis defines the concepts of creativity, perception, and thinking, and emphasizes creativity as a process shaped by the use of specific techniques and by organizational culture. The empirical part is based on a qualitative approach and includes a comparative analysis of seven selected creative-thinking methods according to five predefined criteria. The aim of the thesis is to determine how lateral thinking and creative-thinking methods contribute to innovation, greater adaptability, and a sustainable competitive advantage in companies.
