Uporabljene so bile naslednje metode: deskriptivna metoda, metoda komparacije, metoda povzemanja in metoda sinteze. Ugotovitve smo predstavili tabelarično v poglavju Rezultati. Razprava: Po pregledu strokovne literature, vključene v diplomsko delo, smo ugotovili, da evtanazija v Sloveniji še vedno ni dovolj raziskana, saj se ponavljajo številna vprašanja glede njenega pravnega, medicinskega in etičnega vidika ter njenega vpliva na sodobno družbo in prakso zdravstvene nege.

Abstract:Introduction: Views on euthanasia in today’s society are very diverse and depend on various factors, such as culture, religion, legislation and the views of different social groups. More than anyone else, healthcare professionals are familiar with the concept of “euthanasia”, as we encounter patients who face incurable diseases and severe pain on a daily basis. Euthanasia raises numerous ethical questions and legal challenges, as it involves decision-making between life and death. Method: Domestic and foreign literature on euthanasia and society’s attitude towards euthanasia was reviewed. The following methods were used: the descriptive method, the comparative method, the method of summarisation and the method of synthesis. When gathering information, a systematic review of existing literature was used, with the relevance of the selected articles presented using a PRISMA diagram. The literature search was conducted in the following databases: COBISS, PubMed, ProQuest and Google Scholar, as well as professional materials from the library. The focus was on articles published in the last 10 years that were fully accessible in full text. Results: After a systematic review of the literature, 13 articles were selected that answered the research questions posed. The findings were presented in tabular form in the Results section. Discussion: After reviewing the professional literature included in the diploma thesis, it was found that euthanasia in Slovenia has not yet been sufficiently researched, as numerous questions remain regarding its legal, medical and ethical aspects, as well as its impact on contemporary society and nursing practice.
