Title:Pomen vadbe za ravnotežje pri preprečevanju padcev pri starejših – pregled literature : diplomsko delo visokošolskega strokovnega študijskega programa prve bolonjske stopnje Fizioterapija

Abstract:Teoretična izhodišča: Padci so eden glavnih vzrokov za poškodbe, hospitalizacije in izgubo samostojnosti v starosti, zato je njihovo preprečevanje ključnega pomena za ohranjanje kakovosti življenja. Namen: Namen je bil proučiti pomen vadbe za ravnotežje pri preprečevanju padcev pri starejših ter ugotoviti, katere oblike ravnotežne vadbe so se glede na znanstvene dokaze izkazale kot najučinkovitejše ter na kakšen način vplivajo na zmanjšanje tveganja za padce. Metode dela: Uporabljena je bila kvalitativna metodologija s pregledom znanstvene in strokovne literature. V analizo je bila vključena literatura pridobljena iz elektronskih baz PubMed in ProQuest na podlagi vnaprej določenih vključitvenih in izključitvenih kriterijev. Vključeni so bili članki, objavljeni med letoma 2016 in 2026, ki so obravnavali vpliv različnih oblik ravnotežne vadbe na tveganje za padce pri starejših. Rezultati: V analizo je bilo vključenih 10 strokovnih in znanstvenih člankov, pri čemer so bile nekatere intervencije zasnovane kot samostojna vadba za ravnotežje, druge pa kot večkomponentni programi, ki so poleg ravnotežja vključevali tudi vadbo za moč ali aerobno vadbo. Razprava: Vse študije so poročale o pozitivnih učinkih intervencij, v obliki zmanjšanega števila padcev ali v obliki izboljšanih rezultatov na testih ravnotežja, ki se uporabljajo za oceno tveganja padcev. Ugotovitve: Ugotovitve kažejo, da ciljno usmerjena in progresivno zasnovana vadba za ravnotežje pomembno izboljšuje posturalno kontrolo, funkcionalno mobilnost ter zmanjšuje pojavnost padcev pri starejših. Najučinkovitejše so se izkazale večkomponentne vadbe, ki so poleg vadbe za ravnotežje vključevale še komponento vadbe moči. Kot samostojne ravnotežne vadbe so bile učinkovite tudi vadba Tai Chi, exergame vadba, perturbacijski trening, funkcionalna vadba ter vadba statičnega ter dinamičnega ravnotežja.

Abstract:Theoretical Background: Falls are one of the leading causes of injuries, hospitalizations, and loss of independence in older age, therefore, their prevention is essential for maintaining quality of life. Aim: The aim of this study was to examine the importance of balance training in the prevention of falls among older adults and to determine which types of balance training have proven to be the most effective according to scientific evidence, as well as how they contribute to reducing fall risk. Methods: A qualitative methodology based on a review of scientific and professional literature was applied. The analysis included literature retrieved from the electronic databases PubMed and ProQuest according to predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria. Articles published between 2016 and 2026 that examined the effects of various forms of balance training on fall risk in older adults were included. Results: 10 scientific and professional articles were included in the analysis. Some interventions were designed as standalone balance training programs, while others were structured as multicomponent programs that, in addition to balance exercises, included strength training or aerobic exercise. Discussion: All studies reported positive effects of the interventions, either in terms of reduced fall incidence or improved performance on balance assessments used to evaluate fall risk. Conclusion: The findings indicate that targeted and progressively designed balance training significantly improves postural control and functional mobility and reduces fall incidence among older adults. Multicomponent programs that included a strength training component alongside balance exercises proved to be the most effective. As standalone interventions, Tai Chi, exergaming, perturbation training, functional training, static and dynamic balance training were also effective.
