Abstract:The thesis (Homosexuality in Anthropological-Theological Perspective) is an attempt to create an inclusive theology for the homosexual population. For the purpose of the thesis, homosexuality is defined as the ability to create a life community with a person of the same sex, as sexuality is only one of the constitutive dimensions of persons. It is based on the premise that the basic locus of theology is anthropological – the concrete human experience in a concrete historical spatial/temporal context. Every person is incarnated into it, and in this way complementing Christ’s life (Col 1:24). Every individual is thus already a unique incarnation of the divine perception in and for the world, not in the sense of emanation, but of intentional creation in/ through the image of the Son, as an earthly icon of the essence of the Trinity. What we call the imago Dei, or dependence on the Creator, is a cast into a network of relationships that precedes every individual human existence; this network of relationships is woven from human, divine, and divine-human relationships. The essential intervention of God in history, in the kenotic self-emptying of God to enter into His opposite to the point of entering into its opposite – hell, ‘in the Son,’ is the entry point for every human, whose direction is determined by the Son’s theosis, whose conclusion is in the subjection of everything to the Son and his self-surrender to the Father’s everlasting giving. In response to the fact that they are already saved by faith as a free gift of God (Eph 2:8-9), believers are active in the Church and in the world in various fields in order to embody God’s vision and thus make it more visible. The work confirms the hypothesis that homosexuality is a personal circumstance under which individuals realize their primordial calling to the concrete face of the O/other in which they are realized as beloved of God. It consists of historical insights through the analysis of literary and biblical stories, the theology of the Trinity and imago Dei, and Jesus’ fundamental choice for the poor.
