Title:Strategije soočanja z medvrstniškim spletnim in mobilnim nasiljem : magistrsko delo

Abstract:Magistrsko delo predstavlja problem preprečevanja in odpravljanja spletnega in mobilnega nasilja med otroci in mladostniki ter soočanje mladih s tem pojavom. V magistrskem delu predstavimo težave pri definiranju pojma spletnega in mobilnega nasilja, njegove specifične elemente in ponujene obstoječe definicije. Predstavljamo aktualnejše oblike spletnega in mobilnega nasilja, motive mladih za kibernetsko nasilje ter posledice viktimizacije. Za celostno razumevanje pojava preučimo tudi individualne in družbene dejavnike tveganja za spletno in mobilno nasilje. Pojav v večjem delu naloge primerjamo s tradicionalnim medvrstniškim nasiljem, saj ga nekateri avtorji ne obravnavajo kot samostojen pojav, temveč le kot obliko tradicionalnega nasilja med vrstniki. Osnovni namen naloge je predstaviti učinkovite strategije preprečevanja in obravnavanja spletnega in mobilnega medvrstniškega nasilja. V ta namen smo pripravili pregled dejavnikov, ki vplivajo na celovito spoprijemanje s pojavom. Za celostno obravnavo in učinkovito delo na vseh ravneh je potrebno uspešno preprečevati tradicionalno medvrstniško nasilje, spodbujati ustrezne tehnične ukrepe, ugotavljati odzive otrok na spletno nasilje, zmanjševati negativne vplive. Posebno pozornost smo namenili regulaciji spletnega nasilja ter možnosti uporabe alternativnega reševanja sporov. V tujini imajo za spletno nasilje med mladimi razvitih nekaj specifičnih programov. Za razumevanje soočanja mladih s spletnim nasiljem smo opravili kvantitativno empirično raziskavo med sedmošolci gorenjskih osnovnih šol. Na podlagi preučene literature in ugotovitev smo oblikovali predloge in mnenje o razreševanju spletnega in mobilnega nasilja med otroci in mladimi. Ugotavljamo, da je učinkovito preprečevanje in odpravljanje spletnega in mobilnega nasilja treba ustrezno preoblikovati oziroma dopolniti celostne programe za preprečevanje in odpravljanje tradicionalnega nasilja med vrstniki.

Abstract:The work presents the problem of tackling cyberbullying among children and youth, as well as coping with cyberbullying among children. In this work, we introduce the problems with defining the cyberbullying phenomenon, its specific elements and provided existing definitions. We portray current forms of cyberbullying, children's motives for perpetration and the impact of victimization. For integrated understanding of cyberbullying, we study the individual and social risk factors for victimization and perpetration. Some researchers suggest that cyberbullying is just another type of traditional bullying, therefore the study is based on comparison between the two. Some studies address specific role of bully-victims. The main purpose of this work is to overview the efficient strategies for preventing and combating cyberbullying. Therefore, we prepared a review of factors that impact on integrated approach on tackling cyberbullying. Systematic, comprehensive school approaches are based on including all the parties. It is necessary to efficiently prevent traditional bullying among children, promote appropriate technical solutions, monitor the children's coping strategies and buffer the negative impact. We devoted special attention to regulation of cyberbullying and the possibilities of alternative dispute resolution. Special programmes for preventing and combating cyberbullying have been developed abroad. We illustrate them in section 5. To gain full understanding of coping with the phenomenon, we investigated the use of coping strategies among seventh graders in the Gorenjska region. Based on study and review of the literature, we made some proposals for tackling cyberbullying among children and youth. We note that for efficient tackling of cyberbullying, we should appropriately reconstruct or supplement the existing comprehensive school programmes for tackling traditional bullying.
