Language: Slovenian Work type: Bachelor thesis/paper Tipology: 2.11 - Undergraduate Thesis Organization: FIZIOTERAPEVTIKA - PHYSIOTHERAPEUTICA Abstract: Uvod in namen: Lateralni epikondilitis (LE) je eden najpogostejših vzrokov za pojav bolečine v lateralnem predelu komolca. Nastane zaradi ponavljajočih se mikropoškodb ekstenzorjev zapestja in prstov, navadno ob ekscentrični obremenitvi. Poznamo konservativno in operativno zdravljenje. Eden izmed najpomembnejših konservativnih pristopov zdravljenja je fizioterapevtska obravnava. Klinične smernice za fizioterapevtsko obravnavo LE niso določene, zato je namen diplomskega dela pregled literature o učinkovitosti fizioterapevtskih metod in tehnik ter predstavitev priporočila za konservativno obravnavo. Metode: Diplomsko delo temelji na sistematičnem pregledu literature. To smo pridobili s pomočjo podatkovnih zbirk PubMed in PEDro. Rezultati: V raziskavo smo vključili 17 člankov. Ugotovili smo, da zanesljivih znanstvenih dokazov o učinkovitosti fizioterapevtskih metod in tehnik pri zdravljenju pacientov z LE ni. Uporabnost: Rezultati so uporabni v klinični praksi pri fizioterapevtski obravnavi pacientov z LE. Omejitve: Raziskave so nizke kakovosti zaradi majhnega števila preiskovancev in kratkoročnih meritev. Title:	EFFICIENCY OF PHYSIOTHERAPEUTIC TREATMENT IN PATIENTS WITH LATERAL EPICONDYLITIS
Abstract:	Introduction and purpose: Lateral epicondylitis (LE) is one of the most common causes of pain in the lateral region of the elbow. It is caused by repeated microinjuries of the tissue with an eccentric load on the wrist or forearm muscles. There are two types of treatment, conservative and surgical. One of the most important conservative approaches is physiotherapy treatment. Medical guidelines for physiotherapeutic treatment of LE have not been established, so the aim of the thesis is examining the literature on the effectiveness of physiotherapeutic methods and techniques, as well as presenting the recommendation for conservative treatment. Methods: The graduation thesis is based on a systematic study of the literature. It was obtained with the help of PubMed and PEDro databases. Results: We included 17 studies in the research. We found that the use of physiotherapy procedures to treat LE is recommended even if there is present lack of sufficient evidence of their effects. Usability: The outcome is useful in clinical practice in the physiotherapeutic treatment of patients with LE. Limitations: The researches are low-quality because of the small number of people under investigation and short term measurements
