Abstract:Stili navezanosti predstavljajo temelje za naše odnose in komunikacijo s soljudmi.

Abstract:Attachment styles are the foundations of our relationships and communication with other people. We divide them into safe and insecure, depending on how safe or insecure we feel in relationships, how important relationships are to us and what we do in order to get what we need from others. Attachment styles are closely related to self-image, since it mainly depends on the feedback that others give us about us and on our ideas about how others see us. Both attachment styles and self-image change throughout life. With a greater sense of security in relationships, self-image improves, and with a loss of security, self-image deteriorates. Negative changes are most often the result of difficult life experiences and losses, and their impact is large and lasting. Positive changes can be planned, achieved through work on oneself, in therapy, or through improved relationships. In this thesis, we first explore the theory of attachment, on the basis of which our understanding of the mechanisms of interrelationships has developed. We explore the influences on the development of different styles of attachment and their specifics, the characteristics of individual periods, the specificity of styles in different relationships and their variability. In the following, we present the development of self-image and its connection with attachment styles. In our own research on a selected sample, we explore the variability and connection of general and specific attachment styles and self-image in different periods of life. With the help of questionnaires and interviews, we reveal that changes in attachment are usually accompanied by changes in self-image in the surveyed persons. Negative changes most often occur as a result of difficult life experiences and losses, and their impact is large and lasting; positive changes can be planned, achieved through work on oneself, in therapy, or through improved relationships. The probable causes for the development and changes of specific styles and self-images of the researched persons coincide with the review of the relevant literature and with the results of the more important research that we present in the thesis.
