Zdravljenje CP vključuje fizioterapevtsko obravnavo in različne komplementarne terapije k standardni klinični terapiji. Glavni cilj fizioterapevtske obravnave je z uporabo sodobnih fizioterapevtskih metod in tehnik otroku omogočiti samostojno življenje z izboljšanjem njegovih funkcionalnih sposobnosti. Poglobljeno poznavanje razpoložljivih sodobnih metod in postopkov o rezultatih ocenjevanja cerebralne paralize nam pomaga pri rehabilitaciji otrok in doseganju boljših rezultatov.

Title:Modern physiotherapeutical approaches to rehabilitation in children with cerebral palsy
Abstract:Cerebral palsy is a static and pseudoprogressive neurological condition, which affects children, and it develops as a result of brain damage before the brain is able to fully develop in the prenatal or early postnatal period. There are four main types of CP, which reflect the abnormalities in different parts of the brain and result in different symptoms. These types are spastic, dyskinetic, ataxic and mixed CP. Treatment of CP includes physiotherapeutic treatment and various complementary therapies to standard clinical therapy. The main goal of physiotherapeutic treatment is to enable children, using modern physiotherapeutic methods and techniques, to lead an independent life by improving their functional capabilities. In-depth knowledge about accessible modern methods and processes of cerebral palsy assessment results contribute to children’s rehabilitation and achieving better results. Our aim in the context of this paper was to determine whether combined therapies are effective in improving the child's mobility compared to a single technical rehabilitation of a child with cerebral palsy. Despite the lack of accessible literature, we were able to study, based on a review of six studies, the effectiveness of combined methods of physiotherapeutic rehabilitation. We concluded that combining methods and techniques of physiotherapeutic rehabilitation improves mobility in children with cerebral palsy. However, both approaches bring about positive results in the physiotherapeutic treatment of children with cerebral palsy. Cerebral palsy is a very sensitive and developing disease that affects differently each individual. Since there are several forms of cerebral palsy known, it is necessary to choose a suitable treatment method for each stage of the disease and set realistic goals that will increase the success of physiotherapy. By using combined physiotherapy methods and rehabilitation techniques, the child is able to improve functional abilities and lead a more independent life.
