Abstract:V današnjem času smo z napredkom medicine izkoreninili velik del virusnih bolezni. Takim motnjam/boleznim pravimo psihosomatske motnje/bolezni.

Title:Cardia arrhythmias, expressing emotions and stress management
Abstract:With the advancement of medicine in modern times, we have managed to eradicate a large part of viral diseases. However, modern-man diseases are increasing, and they are often caused by stress and emotions. Such disorders or diseases are called psychosomatic disorders/ diseases. These are diseases where an organic abnormality, caused by mental factors, is normally detected. According to one of the sources, stress is related to 80% of all modern-day diseases. In this paper, we focused on heart rhythm disorders or arrhythmias, which are one of the most common psychosomatic disorders. We wanted to determine how stress affects the development of the disease and how individuals cope with stress and stressful situations. Psychotherapy was considered as one of the main strategies to manage and cope with psychosomatic disorders, where an individual is treated holistically through a conversation and with different techniques and is offered an open space for corrections. In order to confirm this theory, we conducted a quantitative analysis using a survey. The survey comprised the Alexithymia test, used to verify how individuals express and recognise their emotions, as well as the Cope test, intended to evaluate different stress management strategies. The analysis results showed that an individual with a heart rhythm disorders have a higher rate of alexithymia, compared to the healthy population, and has more problems in recognising or detecting emotions, and that they are aware that stress has a negative impact on their health, but they mostly do not recognise or cannot decide on the connexion between emotions and their disease.
