1. Sacred Wells: Pagan Survivals and Christian WorshipAlessandra Panicco, 2025, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: This study examines the relationship between the pagan cult of water and Christian architecture in Italy, with a particular focus on the survival of sacred sites such as ritual wells, which were either integrated into churches during the Middle Ages or served as focal points for the construction of Christian buildings. In pagan traditions, natural elements were imbued with sacred significance, later reinterpreted and adapted to align with Christian beliefs. Archival records attest to the persistence of ancient rituals well into the Middle Ages, as well as the Church’s efforts to suppress superstitions associated with the pagan world. Over time, these beliefs underwent a process of transformation: wells once dedicated to pagan deities were frequently repurposed for the veneration of Christian saints. In some instances, these structures were either replaced or reinterpreted within a new religious framework while preserving their symbolic and spiritual significance. Even today, certain aspects of ancient customs endure through popular folklore, contributing to the preservation of historical memory and intangible cultural heritage. Through an analysis of historical sources, architectural evidence, and liturgical practices, this study explores the continuity of pagan worship sites during the Middle Ages, emphasizing the central role of water. As a spiritual element common to diverse religious traditions, water played a crucial role in ensuring the survival of pre-Christian sacred structures, fostering continuity between ancient and emerging forms of spirituality.

3. Safety culture in telemedicine: literature review and research agendaIvan Jurišić, David Bogataj, 2025, pregledni znanstveni članek Opis: Telemedicine expands healthcare access and offers opportunities to strengthen patient safety, but it also introduces risks that challenge traditional safety practices. This literature review examined studies from Web of Science, Scopus, and PubMed to explore how safety culture is shaped in telemedicine settings. Findings show that while healthcare professionals demonstrate strong personal commitment to safety, organizational structures often lack leadership support, training, structured protocols, and cybersecurity integration. Adaptability, continuous learning, and leadership engagement are critical for fostering a resilient safety culture in digital healthcare. Future strategies should focus on integrating cybersecurity, promoting leadership-driven safety initiatives, and supporting flexible, learning-oriented environments to ensure telemedicine maintains high standards of patient safety.

4. Building HE Institutional QA system and QA offices: the QA-SURE Project in Kosovo and AlbaniaNada Trunk Širca, Albana Ndreu Halili, Lejla Abazi Bexheti, Merita Shala, Anica Novak Trunk, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: Through the Erasmus+ QA-SURE project, this study examines the institutional development of internal Quality Assurance (QA) offices and systems in higher education institutions (HEIs) in Kosovo and Albania. The initiative concentrated on creating or improving specialised QA offices at three HEIs in Albania and two in Kosovo, as opposed to more general national QA system changes. The study emphasises the ways in which training, participatory governance, strategic planning, and infrastructure support aided in the development of institutional capacity, drawing on ESG 2015. Results show advancements in digitisation, student and stakeholder interaction, and quality culture. The report makes the case that system alignment with European standards and sustained academic success are made possible by institution-driven QA systems.
