Language: Slovenian Work type: Master's thesis/paper Organization: FUDS - School of advanced social studies Abstract: Magistrska naloga obravnava organiziranost gasilstva na Slovenskem in predstavitev organiziranosti ter medsebojnega sodelovanja v Prostovoljnem gasilskem društvu Lipoglav. V današnjem času pomeni biti gasilec, prostovoljni ali poklicni, mnogo več kot samo gašenje ognja in omogočanje varnosti. Gre za druženje, medsebojno sodelovanje, prenašanje znanja iz ene generacije na drugo, željo po pomoči sočloveku, nudenje socialne podpore, solidarnost, nesebično pomoč v nesreči, itd. Poleg tega prostovoljni gasilci veliko svojega časa namenijo tudi razvoju in prepoznavnosti gasilstva in samega društva v domačem kraju. Namen magistrskega dela je podrobno preučiti Prostovoljno gasilsko društvo Lipoglav in razvoj gasilstva na Slovenskem. V letu 2025 bo Prostovoljno gasilsko društvo Lipoglav obeležilo 100. obletnico delovanja društva in ob tem svečanem dogodku bo vodstvo društva izdalo bilten, katerega osnova bodo podatki, pridobljeni v naši raziskavi. Bilten bo vodstvo društva podarilo krajanom Lipoglava in njegove okolice kot poklon za dolgoletno zaupanje in spoštovanje, ki ga izrekajo gasilcem Prostovoljnega društva Lipoglav. V empiričnem delu magistrske naloge smo s pomočjo kvalitativne raziskave prikazali pomen in vlogo gasilskega prostovoljnega dela, kakšen ima ugled Prostovoljno gasilsko društvo Lipoglav v lokalni in širši skupnosti ter način medsebojnega sodelovanja oziroma dopolnjevanja članov društva pri različnih gasilskih dejavnosti. Izvedli smo sedem pol strukturiranih intervjujev med izbranimi gasilci s katerimi smo želeli prikazati pozitivna in negativna stališča do prostovoljstva v gasilstvu in medgeneracijskega sodelovanja, solidarnosti, povezovanja ter pomoči sočloveku pri nudenju pomoči v Prostovoljnem gasilskem društvu Lipoglav. Pri tem smo prišli do nekaj glavnih ugotovitev. Intervjuvanci so bili mnenja, da so odnosi na medsebojni, družbeni in društveni ravni dobri, da ima prostovoljno gasilsko delo in medsebojno sodelovanje gasilcev zelo velik pomen za razvoj in obstoj samega društva, prav tako pa tudi za razvoj lokalnega in širšega okolja. Title:	Organisation of volunteering firefighting and intergenerational cooperation in the Lipoglav volunteer firefighting association
Abstract:	The master thesis deals with the organisation of firefighting in Slovenia and the presentation of the organisation and mutual cooperation in the Lipoglav Volunteer Firefighting Association. Today, being a firefighter, whether volunteer or professional, means much more than firefighting and safety. It is about socialising, working together, passing on knowledge from one generation to the next, wanting to help your fellow man, providing social support, solidarity, selflessly helping in an emergency situations, etc. Additionaly, volunteer firefighters also devote a lot of their time to the development and visibility of firefighting and the association itself in their hometown. The aim of this master thesis is to present the Lipoglav Volunteer Firefighting Association and the development of firefighting in Slovenia. In 2025, the Lipoglav Volunteer Firefighting Association will celebrate its 100th anniversary and on the occasion of this solemn event, the management of the Association will publish a bulletin based on the data obtained in our research. The bulletin will be presented by the management of the Association to the inhabitants of Lipoglav and its surroundings as a tribute for the long-standing trust and respect they have shown to the firefighters of the Lipoglav Volunteer Firefighting Association. In the empirical part of the master's thesis, we used qualitative research to show the importance and role of volunteer firefighting, the reputation of the Lipoglav Volunteer Firefighting Association in the local and wider community, and the way in which the members of the Association cooperate with each other or complement each other in various firefighting activities. We conducted seven semi-structured interviews among the selected firefighters in order to show the positive and negative attitudes towards volunteering in firefighting and intergenerational cooperation, solidarity, networking and helping fellow human beings in providing assistance in the Lipoglav Volunteer Firefighting Association. We came to a couple of main conclusions. The interviewees were of the opinion that the relations at the mutual, social and association level are good, that the voluntary firefighting work and the mutual cooperation of firefighters is of great importance for the development and existence of the Association itself, as well as for the development of the local and wider environment.
