Title:ČUJEČNOST KOT OBLIKA POMOČI PRI SOOČANJU Z NEPLODNOSTJO

Abstract:Tema diplomske naloge, Čuječnost kot oblika pomoči pri soočanju z neplodnostjo, je izbrana na podlagi lastne izkušnje in dela na osebni rasti. Namen diplomske naloge je ugotoviti ali čuječnostna vadba pomaga pri zmanjševanju psihičnega stresa pri soočanju z neplodnostjo. Vadba čuječnosti naj bi omogočala, da se udeleženke, ki v raziskavi sodelujejo, lahko soočijo in sprejmejo svoje misli, čustva in spremljajoča občutja ter tako zmanjšajo psihološki stres. Na začetku diplomske naloge predstavimo teorijo neplodnosti, poudarek je predvsem na fazah soočanja z neplodnostjo, kako se par na neplodnost odziva ter skozi katera zdravljenja je treba iti. Dotaknili smo se tudi stigme neplodnosti in odkrivali kako lajšati stres. V osrednjem delu raziskujemo čuječnost, predstavljen je MBSR-program (angl. Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction), pišemo o temeljnih značilnostih čuječnosti, predstavimo tehnike, vaje ter elemente vadbe čuječnosti, poglavje pa zaključimo z vprašanjem zakaj je čuječnost pomembna in koristna. Nadalje raziskujemo kako sta neplodnost in čuječnost prepleteni, kar bo razvidno kasneje tudi iz rezultatov diplomske naloge. V tem poglavju predstavljamo preplet čuječnosti in soočanja z neplodnostjo pri nas in v tujini. V empiričnem delu smo s pomočjo kvalitativne metode raziskave zastavili cilje in opisali, katera raziskovalna vprašanja smo si postavili v nalogi. Predstavimo analizo zbranih podatkov in zaključimo s strukturo programa, ki smo ga izvedli za potrebe raziskave. Med raziskavo smo prišli do ugotovitev, s katerimi udeleženke poročajo, da jim izvajanje čuječnosti pomaga pri zmanjševanju stresa in zato tudi pripomore k lažjemu soočanju z neplodnostjo.

Title:MINDFULNESS AS FORM OF ASSISTANCE IN COPING WITH INFERTILITY
Abstract:The topic of this paper, titled Mindfulness as Form of Assistance in Coping with Infertility, was selected on the basis of our own experience and self-growth efforts. The aim of this paper is to determine whether mindfulness practises help reduce physical stress in coping with infertility. Mindfulness practices are said to enable participants in the research face and accept their thoughts, emotions and associated sensations, thus reducing psychological stress. At the beginning of this paper, we present theoretical facts about infertility, focusing on the phases of coping with infertility, how a couple responds to infertility and what treatments one has to undergo. We also address the infertility stigma and determine how to alleviate stress. In the body of the paper, we study mindfulness, present the MBSR program (mindfulness-based stress reduction), write about the fundamental characteristics of mindfulness, present techniques and exercises as well as elements of mindfulness practices and conclude the chapter by asking why mindfulness is important and useful. We go on to study how infertility and mindfulness are intertwined, which is later evident from the results of the research. In this chapter, we present the intertwinement of mindfulness and the process of coping with infertility in Slovenia and abroad. In the empirical part, we employ the qualitative method to set goals and describe the research questions we set in this paper. We present the analysis of the selected data and conclude by presenting the structure of the program implemented for the purpose of this research. Throughout the research, we determined that participants in the program reported about mindfulness helping them relieve stress, thus making easier the way they cope with infertility.
