Abstract:V delu obravnavamo numerično simulacijo tokovnih razmer polimera v polžu ekstrudorja. Najprej definiramo zgradbo polža ekstrudorja in kako deluje sistem črpanja polimera s polžem, pri tem pa je ključna vloga numeričnih simulacij. Sledi predstavitev osnovnih enačb, materialnih karakteristik, podroben opis obravnavanega problema in opis priprave numeričnega modela, s katerim se popiše problem. Sledi analiza izračunanih rezultatov, kjer se analizira dogajanje po celotnem prerezu, ter tudi lokalno. Rezultate, ki smo jih pridobili z različnimi parametri smo medsebojno primerjali, s čimer smo analizirali občutljivost rezultatov na vhodne parametre.

Title:NUMERICAL SIMULATION OF A SCREW EXTRUDER
Abstract:The thesis discusses the numerical simulation of polymer flow conditions in the extruder screw.. It begins by presenting of the extruder screw and how the screw pumping system operates, with the role of numerical simulations in this process. This is followed by an introduction of the governing equations, material characteristics, a detailed description of the problem, and the preparation of the numerical model used to describe the problem. An analysis of the calculated results ensues, examining the behavior across the entire cross-section as well as locally. Results obtained with different parameters are compared to each other, thereby analyzing the sensitivity of the results to input parameters.
