Dogajanja v svetovnem gospodarskem prostoru zaznamujejo vse hitrejše spremembe, pospešene procese internacionalizacije in globalizacije, posledično so zaradi lažjega sodelovanja in zmanjševanja trgovinskih ovir nastale integracije.

Title:Econometric comparative analysis of five economic variables for Slovenia and the country of EU - Croatia, since 2005
Abstract:For the purpose of facilitating trade, some countries have historically begun forming connections and entering various agreements. Events in the global economic arena are characterized by rapid changes, accelerated processes of internationalization, and globalization. Integrations have emerged as a result, aiming for easier collaboration and reduced trade barriers. One of these integrations is the European Union, of which Slovenia and Croatia are members. With the desire to understand the impact of such integration on the economy of each member state, I intend to compare some macroeconomic variables. The research covers five key economic variables: the gross domestic product growth rate, the inflation rate, the number of unemployed individuals, average gross wages, and real estate values. Econometric methods will be employed to analyze these variables and identify causal relationships among them. Special emphasis will be placed on a comparative analysis of trends and differences between Slovenia and Croatia, considering their EU membership by analyzing the impact of certain economic variables on real estate prices during the observed period. The key results contribute to a better understanding of the economic development of both countries in the context of the European environment. Simultaneously, the research will provide information and insights into potential challenges and opportunities faced by Slovenia and Croatia in the global economic system. The analysis will help comprehend the influences of macroeconomic variables on real estate prices, enabling assumptions about the impact of the state economy on real estate prices, which is a relatively unexplored area. With this in-depth approach to econometric analysis, the thesis is expected to contribute to an expanded understanding of the economic position of both countries and improve awareness of their economic development.
